This is definitely one of the most complex transforming models I have made to date. I thought I'd do the ROTF one really instead of the DOTM one because I never likes the 'improved chest-plate'. In my opinion, it looks like optimus decided to stick a couple of bandanges over his stomach because of some kind of wound. Yes, I will make a DOTM prime eventually, but for now I'm quite happy. Sorry, but this one's staying secret. By this, I mean I won't be adding instructions. Don't forget to comment, and/or sign up to the starscream rules contest!
About this creation
So here's our first look at optimus prime in his vehicle mode.
One of the things I haven't been able to get rid of in this model is the fact that the fingers can be seen from the back. But still, it's not a big problem, is it?
Here's a quick close up of the energon swords.
The head is sort of like chris roach's. I kinda found his instructions for this head on youtube and upgraded it. Thanks, chris!
From the side, you can see that there are lever pieces that I've added.
Now, before I go into the transformation, I need to get the accessories out of the way.
Now, first you need to bring up the two flaps from the side.
Next, you need to bring legs down.
Then, you need to pull out the upper leg covers.
Then, you need to remove the two smoke stacks. If you don't, they'll get in the way of the transformation.
Next, you pull up the blue cover section.
After that, you need to push back the windscreen parts.
Then you pull around the right arm...
...and the left arm.
Next, you pull down the cover piece.
The last 'transformation step' is just pushing down the arms.
The rest of the steps are just attaching things. The first thing you need to attach is the head.
Then the second (and last) things you need to attach are the smoke-stacks.
And here we have optimus prime in his robot mode.
I actually found it difficult trying to get the right kind of chest-plate. I still don't think it's enough.
Just a close-up of the legs...
...and from behind
Now, to attach the swords, you first need to bring the arm up.
Now, can you see that tiny hole?
That's where the sword fits in.
There's also a second sword for the second side.
Listen, I'm really sorry, but I kinda stuffed up the photo-text-sync-thingy. Don't forget to comment!
