Amtrans C-4 "Titan" (Large Cargo Aircraft)
American Transport Alliance's (Amtrans) new workhorse, the powerful C-4 "Titan" turboprop freighter. This is the civil variant of an aircraft that can be used militarily as well.BTW: This is what I have interrruptedly been working on for the past 8 or 9 months... the hugest aircraft I have ever built and finished. I´m pretty proud of this thing... :)
About this creation

The exact dimensions havn´t been thoroughly measured yet, but just by holding a measuring device approximately over the plane, I can already tell you the following numbers:

Length: 114 cm
Wingspan: 121 cm
Weight (estimated): 4-5 kg (you can´t hold it up very long without your arms starting to hurt:)...

Frontal perspective, with fully deployed airbrakes:

Frontal (complete):

Mighty T-tail & rear perspective:

Engine details / A maintenance engineer checking the huge turboprop engines

This semi truck perfectly fits in the cargo hold...

The empty cargo hold: 44 studs long, 8-wide on the lowest level, 10-wide only one brick higher (for the loading of tanks, etc.)...

"Tail cab" inspired by the one of an Il-76. The military version of the C-4 would have a machine gun pod mounted right where the tail cab converges into its pointy top. And there´s enough space for a minifig in there:

Lateral view, with all doors and cargo doors opened:

A little airport scene, just because I can´t wait to have space to create an entire airport layout... :):

Comparison of aircraft sizes: The C-4 "Titan" freighter next to the P-1 "Falcon" and...

... the P-2 "Sojourner" airliners...

Cockpit interior: space for pilot & co-pilot (+ a flight engineer/ramp agent further in the back...):

Construction pictures

Here, I was still building / finishing the large wing structure:

A look inside the still loose main landing gear containment:

Experimenting with brick lettering... just to see what could be done, and what not... :)

And, last but not least, stocking up my Lego supply for the construction of the C-4 and future models. The following, last picture shows the content of a very well packed large cup which one can fill up at the Lego store - from a pick-a-brick wall:):):) Needless to say, I am super happy that there are two stores in the Rhein-Main area (Germany) in which I currently live...

Thank you for any ratings & constructive criticism, guys!
Best regards,
Steffen

@Steffen Rau: Hey, danke dir!

i knew it, you re still improving! this is another feat! and now, for once, i can talk about planes, because i bought 2 airports! i had fun customizing the planes, although, the re more the size of a bombardier challenger than a boeing, it does fit my purpose for it, as i aim at air-space travel! yours is still...beyond! it looks just fabulous!!! bravo stephen!!!

Steffen, this is simply breath taking. It looks impressive from the first couple of photos but when I saw the one with the truck in it WOW! This is huge and looks beautiful. I think I would struggle with space to build anything this big. Your building techniques are fantastic and you certainly pulled it off with the lettering. Great work as always, mate. Kindest Regards Andy

@Manthan Dutta: The cargo jet is just an old WIP; I won´t continue it. At the time, I didn´t have enough pieces and now, I don´t like many of the building techniques and features anymore that I went for at the time. The tail of my new C-4 "Titan", BTW, is actually very stable. Doesn´t fall off in flight, either:)... I made it pretty sturdy, and 2-wide (just like the plane´s fuselage wall).

Hey, thank you everybody! I´m glad you like it!:) @Marty Fields: Taking pictures actually really was difficult this time. I had to move everything out of my Lego corner (we have a small appartment) and hung up some light blue wallpapers as a backround... I had to sweat for the pics...:)

That is the hugest most awesome airplane i have seen till now on mocpages!!!!! I think the tail looks like it would fall off in mid flight if you open the cargo doors - if it s built to do that. BTW When is you jet cargo plane coming?
