My son Lennaert wanted the 7327 pharaoh's quest set, but I challenged him to make his own just like I did when I was a kid. This is the result of that challenge. He made the outside of the piramid, I provided booby traps. This is all made with his stock of bricks. We had a great time!
Booby trap 1: battle the scorpion.
Booby trap 2: the blades of death.
Booby trap 3: the skeleton pit.
The tomb and its treasure.
You can take the top off for better playability.
How to handle the blades: a lever. Simple and effective.
The scorpion is a modified Atlantis crab.
The outside has a slide to throw bricks down at unwanted adventurers. Or for mummy fun!

Love the traps! Maybe it's time to get the boy his own MOCpage and maybe enter the Olympics? ~ Chris.
You forget that English is not our native language, he simply wouldn't understand. Not that I haven't considered...And he was so kind to lend me his huge pile of unsorted bricks for the Olympics, since all of mine are in that art project. We'll see what happens. Hey, can we join as father and son?
This is a wonderful creation. I would prefer this to the original set. I love the coloured pyramid and the tomb. The booby traps are excellent too. I have recently started a farther and son Lego group - would you like to join? I will send you an invite but no pressure to join. Happy building. Joe
