7-wide truck comprising of tractor unit, trailer and refuse container/skip.

About this creation

Another 7-wide truck to present to you. This was inspired by 2 things: A lorry that I saw the other day and the Technic Lego set 8065, which is a little container truck.
The mechanism to load and unload the container is fairly similar to 8065 but on a bigger scale and with a very different gear ratio, as this container weighs quite a bit.
The cab of the truck is based on an ERF tractor unit with some of my own design chucked in.
Hope you enjoy looking at it.

This is just brilliant. 7 wide? very original and must be a real challenge to build in that scale. Really like the attention to detail on the container. Great work.

Very detailed truck. I like the shape of the cabin, and my favourite part is the container. Building with uneven techniques is a very big challange. Great job! And thanks for your comments on my creations.

Quoting Paul Beach I like the concept very much. What's the deal with 7 wide?

I've found it's a more realistic scale between truck and minifig, and also 7 is my lucky number.

7 wide moc.... now THAT is a challenge to meet since you need all the right pieces. this build here shows you were prepared for that and went outside the box. its funny how from a side view of any model you cant really tell how wide it really is. very awesome truck here. this took some effort
