Some self-MOCs of great builders, portrayed in Mix-Up format.
About this creation
First of all, for those who don’t know, Character Mix-Ups are a genre of my own invention. They are characters rebuilt like a set from a different period. The body uses the same framework as an official Lego Bionicle set from that time, but with the head, color scheme and major characteristics of the character. The trick in building them is to get the perfect balance between the customization often necessary to maintain the character and the simplicity and type of parts found in that type of Bionicle set. Thus, these creations are not high effort, nor highly custom. They are, however, extremely fun builds, and can be easy or difficult depending on the availability of certain parts in certain colors, and the type of body the character originally had.

These mix-ups are different than the others, in that the characters aren’t official Bionicle ones. I made them as a tribute to some of the great Bio-MOCers on the ‘pages. Here they are, along with a link to the original self-MOC. Wow... This is going to be more linking than I ever expected to do...

There are several people I wanted to make but couldn’t do to lack of parts. Sorry. I plan to take self-MOC requests and make this a regular thing if there's enough interest. Please do not make requests here, though. I will be posting my mask collection shortly, and, if I have the mask your self-MOC needs, you can ask for me to make yours there.
Please feel free to make your own mix-ups! Just be sure to give credit to me for the idea, and leave a comment here with a link to your mix-up page.

I don't know. The lighting may have something to do with it (I used two lamps for the pictures) and there can be some slight variations in the plastic. One of ours may even be a misprint, althogh it's unlikely. |

My favourite of them that isn't Gringat (who I'm completely giddy about :3) is probably Jordan. I love the hordika and he makes a good one. Well done keeping Gringat's cape and the matoran connector together too!

I've already done some villian builds- Thok the Rahkshii, Bohrock Rahkshii, ect. However, it would be cool to do some villian self-MOCs. |
