Porsche 911 GT2 RS
My first Porsche, and it happens to be the GT2 RS version.
About this creation

All Porsches are hard to build in my opinion. Probably because of all the curves on the car. I've tried to build a Porsche before many times - too many times to remember. But this one is the first Porsche that I've completed (I gave up all the other times before I even finished the nose area...It's just so hard to get the front right). But this time, I was able to finish it, and I'm quite pleased with the result. Many thanks to Malte Dorrowski for helping me out with some technics (headlights, rear wheel arches, etc...) and Bricklink orders.

The front.

The side.

The rear.

Details

It looks like Tom Sawyer has finished white washing the fence and is checking out the Porsche.

The interior. Sadly, it's hard to see it because the black and the camera don't agree. :(

Opening Parts

Making the parts open were actually easier than I expected...maybe because recently the doors on the cars that I've been building recently are really hard to build.

The trunk is open.

I have no idea what the real car's trunk looks like, so I built it using pictures from different 911s.

The doors open as usual.

The engine cover is open.

First, I'll tell you that its engine produces 661HP, and that it, like all the other 20+ different versions of the 911 has a flat-6 engine. So, guess how many liters its got? Wrong. It's only a 3.6 liter engine...well, at least it's turbocharged...if it wasn't, then it'll REALLY scary!

Everything is open.

Final picture.

quoting DARKNESS : SON OF MAKUTA lego company cars aren't as good because they don't make real ones anymore, so they don't have anything to base there models off of.

Looks great! I like the rear the best, looks extremely porsche-y. In my opinion, the roof is a bit to high, but thats about it. Great job! If you had the time, would you mind looking at my new porsche?

Oh my Holy LEGO Pile - that is amazing. Porsches are really difficult cars to built. I myself am afraid of them, but this one is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!!

Hi LBJ. This Moc just gets better every time i look at it. To answer your question about elusive white lego - I would advise the Creator set 4993 (Cool Convertible). You should be able to pick up a second hand set on ebay, it is not available from lego anymore. I buy a lot of my lego second hand. It is a larger scale than you usually build in but looks like a great set. the only negative is that it does not come with steering. I dont have this set but it comes with lots of white lego. My favourite Creator car is 4896 (Roaring Roadster) - loads of black lego, shiny chrome pieces, nice wheels and most importantly for me - steering. Check it out it is an amazing set with 900+ pieces. I used the pieces from this set to make my Cobra and Corvette. Good luck :). I am currently on Bricklink ordering some technic pieces for a future moc. I also hope to start a new (creator/racer style) moc for your (and Ryan's) german car contest. Happy building. Joe

Finally! yes "porsche" is not easy - I absolutely agree! but.. Who dares wins. The rear is brilliant. The front is awesome. ravishingly beautiful.
Quoting Lego Builders I've been wondering what you're wearing on your buddy icon...is it a WWII style fighter pilot helmet?
I was on a flight (Boeing-Stearman). not my cap and not my plane ;-)

Quoting R. H. Nifty stuffs! I bet this is as close as you can get with Lego to the original. I like all the extra side lights and "boring" details that you included, since they're usually forgotten. BTW, Koenigsegg's a Swedish car company(so says Wikipedia...), but that's still a great rear hood & bumper.
Yeah, I know. Maybe I should change the caption.

Hi LBJ. This is absolutely stunning. And proves the point I made yesterday (on your enzo). Your cars just get better and better. Excellent work all round especially the side profile. You should be very proud of this moc. It takes guts to ask for advice from other builders but when it turns out like this it is worth it. Great work my friend.
