Hey guys! Here's what I've been working on for the summer. I actually built it about a month ago but I had trouble uploading it until recently. I wanted to build something with peasants and soldiers and the blacksmith shop seemed to fit. I got some inspiration from the new Kingdoms sets that came out at the beginning of the summer.
This is going to be my last MOC for a while because I start college soon and will be away from all my Legos. :( Maybe I can put together a quick MOC if I come home for a holiday or on a weekend. :)
The hardest parts of this MOC to build were the (functional) water wheel and the wooden awning over the furnace and anvil. All together it took me about a week to put this MOC together but it turned out pretty nice. So enjoy the pics!
The master blacksmith, his son (a good blacksmith himself), his son's wife who sells the goods, and their daughter all live at the shop. The shop is conveniently located right over the bridge from the city so it attracts customers from people traveling to the city. All the peasant farmers buy their farming equipment from the blacksmith. The king's army and local adventurers also purchase their weapons and armor from this blacksmith.
I'm a bit late to the party here. But liking the way you have incorporated or adapted existing 'official' builds into your new design (blacksmiths wheel, market stall). Might have to give this a go.
Very cool! I love how yu beefed up the water wheel, and the guy dancing on top of it made me laugh! Nice details in the forge, too. The water trough and hot coals are neat.

yeah, I was wondering if it was only me that couldn't see them... I'll try to re-upload them and see if that works.
EDIT: I think I fixed it. I just made the pics smaller.
