Eden Landwarriors
The first in a line of mechs dating back to earth, this single machine of war spawned thousands of variations.
About this creation

Overview
Built at the end of the uprising, these mechanized warmachines drove the final nail, but their true purpose was to protect the future. Humanity had no way of escaping the now-uninhabitable earth, we feared a future invasion, and needed to be protected. The Eden Landwarriors served as the bulwark of our defences. Mobile weapons platforms essentially, they could have been a real failure, but the combination of alien technology and human design worked, so we built them as quick as we could. Ultimately, they were regulated to generic patrols and survey missions. Usually guarding MCA construction sites as humanity tried to get a grip on survival.

Capabilities
The Eden Landwarriors are armed to the teeth, including two omni-mounts for the shoulder weapons, allowing for a variety of weapon load-outs to fit mission requirements. The mechs are capable to operating without service for years on end, powered by an internal fission reactor design stolen from the alien aggressors. Active radar, and advanced sensor suite, a virtual projected hud so the pilot can literally see through the vehicle he is piloting, and the most powerful computer of the day gave these mechs unparalled advantage over the other weaponry of the day. With virtually no weak point, these machines were build for one function, to make war and to make it well.

Deployment
Once humanity had regained a manufacturing infrastructure, these units were some of the first things built. Thousands were produced over the years and sent to every corner of the globe for service. After the alien aggressors were defeated, humanity never had another war on earth, so for decades the Eden Landwarriors lay dormant and unused, patroling and scouting, but not making war as they were built to do. The next war that involved humanity was on another planet, and the Eden Landwarriors were called out of service, despite being hundreds of years old, they were still able to serve their function, and paved the way for the monstrous domination mechs seen during the third era.

Variants
The original designers had the foresight to give the Eden Landwarriors three omni-mounts. The shoulder mounts came into immediate use as missile pods. The third lower back mount was relatively unused for the first half of the mechs lifespan. At the time it was believed a larger power system would eventually be built that would support an additional over-the-cockpit weapon. Over the years, all sorts of sensor suites and support devices were developed for the shoulder pods. Eventually, a plan was devised where we needed to drop a mass of these mechs into hostile territory, a single use descent thruster system that utilized the third omni mount was built and allowed the Eden Landwarriors to take on paratrooper-type missions.

Notable Pilots
Eric Vodik was born and raised in the canyon enclave, but turned against his people. Driven by the miserable nature of human existence in those days, he joined with other like minds and they jumped to an alternate dimension where humanity was still in the dark ages, and the alien invasion never happened. Eric helped to steal a squad of Eden Landwarriors as his ticket for admittance into the group. He went on to train other pilots and become a key member of The Legacy Group. There are no records of how he performed in battle in the alternate dimension, but The Legacy Group conquered entire continents, and we do know he was their lead warrior in every engagement.

I really like this. But, is this just me or does this remind anyone of the Mechwarrior series?

My initial idea was to make a lego version of mechwarrior/battletech, but I'm kind of moving away from that.

Quoting Cody G Sweet build and presentation, but more pictures of the build itself would be nice.
Still working on the comic for this one, have to go to work for the next couple of days, so will probably be this weekend before I get the time to do any real work on it.

Quoting El Barto ! Nice one, Dude! Thanks for joining the Rocket Surgery Group. Feel free to add to the conversation treads, how you do your comic layout and special effects. I think a lot of people would be interested!
Thanks for the support. I plan to do several of these pages to really get the technique down. Then maybe a tutorial page if you think people would be interested in that?
