The ninjas salute each other as fellow warriors, and salute the Emperor. They concentrate their chakra, as green earth-based energy mixes with blue water-based force in the arena soil.

Highly proficient in water-based skills, the blue ninja conjures a mighty wave to boost his attack. His opponent seems clueless.

But that is only a scheme for his opponent to lower his guard, as the black ninja summons a solid rock wall to hold the tide.

Fallen and unarmed, the blue ninja trembles as the rock wall stretches into a tall pillar, ready to fall over him. He grasps for his spear but it’s too late.

Water spreads from under the rocks and it seems the battle is settled. Only a few know what is happening under the debris.

Focusing his chakra into water from the soil, the blue ninja had prepared a hole in the floor while a clone of him was struck. He sprouts out of the earth.

The black ninja grabs some shuriken to throw. But those are no ordinary throwing stars: they react to its users’ chakra and take different forms. However, a water barrier blocks the attack.

The dark suited fighter is losing his patience and decides to hold back no more. «Summon Dragon!», he shouts. The ground trembles when this 20 ton beast steps on the arena, out of nowhere.

Having spent most of his energy summoning the Earth Dragon, the black ninja fails to detect the enemies’ skill, which catches him off guard. With no one to command it, the beast stands still, as its conjurer drowns in a water technique.

Just before the Earth ninja is killed, the Water ninja releases his technique and spares his opponent’s life. The Emperor is pleased and approaches to officially announce the winner.

The blue ninja is the first winner of the quarter-finals. The public applauds both brave warriors.
