Bio Cup Round 2 Lord Oblivion vs Infrax
Flow, my entry to round 2 of the Bio Cup
About this creation
The theme was a shapeshifting toa, so I decided to take a more unorthodox approach. The name of the MOC is Flow. It changes from the standard humanoid build into a type of floating mono-eyed mech.

These pictures show the process of how the MOC changes.

First legs are reversed on the ball joints

Now we move onto the waist

Built around a ooo liftarm the waist can open up

Flip up the support liftarms on the back.

Move waist up to back area.

Move legs into their new position

Put the MOC on a stand to show the ability for it to hover

Fix leg positions to where they look best as the mech's end

Rotate head

Final pic of Flow as a mech. Flash used to show the eye more clearly

It's a pretty basic build for me, I was not too excited when I saw the category was Toa, conisdering I wasn't in the mood for a humanoid. But the transforming theme made it a little more bareable. Using mata blue and black was refreshing, havent used this color scheme in a long time.

Good luck to everyone participating in the Bio Cup.

For the judges: There was a little problem that I just realized. While I was taking pictures of my MOC yesterday I altered him after a few shots and then took more. So the main pic doesnt have the 1x3 slopes on the back of his thighs. Would you prefer me to change the main picture or will it not matter? As all of the other pics do in fact have the slope parts on the back of his legs.

Quoting HyperShadow 623 awesome humanoid shapeshifter my friend..i loved how u bent the category into your own unquie way:D to build this :D
Thanks, although I don't think I really did bend the sub-theme that much.
Quoting Gringat the Repugnant He looks grand, but as you say the actual transforming aspect is lacking. My vote would go to Infrax, if I was voting.
Thanks. Well don't forget that the category is toa, and the sub category is one that shapeshifts. So the judges won't be judging soley on the aspect of the transformation, but the MOC as a whole.

Quoting Raviel . Awesome.Hey,when are you coming to BrickFair?I'm going on the 6th of August. If you come on the same day, hope to see you.=D
Sadly I wont be going to brickfair or sending my MOCs in this year. But there is actually a good chance of it happening next year.
Quoting Legofreak2444 ~ Very awesome. It looks great, even if it's not much of a transformation. Good luck in the contest!
Thanks, yeah it isn not much of a transformation. Transforming MOCs generally work better on a larger scale. Thanks you too
