The theme was a shapeshifting toa, so I decided to take a more unorthodox approach. The name of the MOC is Flow. It changes from the standard humanoid build into a type of floating mono-eyed mech.
These pictures show the process of how the MOC changes.
First legs are reversed on the ball joints
Now we move onto the waist
Built around a ooo liftarm the waist can open up
Flip up the support liftarms on the back.
Move waist up to back area.
Move legs into their new position
Put the MOC on a stand to show the ability for it to hover
Fix leg positions to where they look best as the mech's end
Final pic of Flow as a mech. Flash used to show the eye more clearly
It's a pretty basic build for me, I was not too excited when I saw the category was Toa, conisdering I wasn't in the mood for a humanoid. But the transforming theme made it a little more bareable. Using mata blue and black was refreshing, havent used this color scheme in a long time.
Good luck to everyone participating in the Bio Cup.
I saw this and thought, hold up, shouldn't this have shown up in my Email? But I hadn't added you as one of favorite builders! Well, the wrong has been righted, so all is well. I love the color scheme here, the head is great.
For the judges: There was a little problem that I just realized. While I was taking pictures of my MOC yesterday I altered him after a few shots and then took more. So the main pic doesnt have the 1x3 slopes on the back of his thighs. Would you prefer me to change the main picture or will it not matter? As all of the other pics do in fact have the slope parts on the back of his legs.
