A toa-glatorian hybrid. Despite living with constant racial prejudice Gloriana lived to become the first queen of Spherus Magna.
About this creation
((Gloriana is a truly ancient character of mine. She is about as old as D-7, meaning she predates Gringat by about two years. Wierdly I never made her as a MOC in all that time, even though she was deliberately "Toa Gloriana". I created a set of armour for the character in the game Neverwinter Nights about six years ago, and then forgot about it entirely. Since my Spherus Magna storyline is a dumping ground for most of my really ancient resurrected characters, here she is.))
Name: Gloriana Gender: Female Species: Halfblood (G3) Occupation: Warrior, Weavic Sister, Queen of Matoran Empire Title(s): Toa, Knight, Queen Prevailing Element: Light (& Botany) Alignment: Neutral Good Affiliation:KoSM, The Druids, The Crown Typical Tool(s): Longsword, Toa Iruni's Shield, Mask of Levitation MOC Status: Parts-mined during the Bio-Cup Eliminatories Died: Asassinated by the Neverending Night
(Corner Stone Cues - Gloriana)
Toa Gloriana was of the third generation to carry matoran blood. Her mother was a glatorian from the jungle tribe, and her father, famously, was Takanuva's son. Takanuva's granddaughter was a halfblood. The ancestors of the Akonians. Halfbloods were often ridiculed and prejudiced on Spherus Magna. This made growing up for her tough. Usually once someone did insult her, they learned not to do so again. Even at a young age she was a proficient fighter.
Weary and tired of a life where nobody would trust her or take her seriously, Gloriana sought out refuge in the Brotherhood of Korrothis as a lay sister. Korrothis took to space a year later, by which time news of her fighting skill had reached Tanggri, and she joined the Knights of Spherus Magna. Being a devout Weavic and becoming skilled with both her botanic and light powers (a powerful combination), and a sword and shield, she became one of Lady Tanggri's best knights. One of her missions saved Lord Iruni's son from skakdi raiders. She was gifted with his old rhotuka shield for the deed.
Nilmador, Tanggri's younger brother, admired Gloriana, despite being a halfblood. The two had known each other since her year in the BoK, but their relationship only started after she was knighted. Some years later, as the KoSM became more corrupted, Gloriana tried to reason with Tanggri. She exiled Gloriana, immediately making an enemy of her own brother as well. In hiding in Bota Magna, the two began plotting the KoSM's downfall.
Gloriana still tried to follow the tenets of the Weave even as one of the leaders of The Druids, the rebel group they formed to collapse the KoSM. Her powers were an inspiration to the other members - light to lighten the darkness, and her command of the forest itself was second to none. After the War of the Weave, the Druids won, Nilmador and Gloriana married, and he became the first Turaga King with Gloriana as his queen.
Gloriana with the other currently built Druids members.
With Gloriana, I deliberately went for a blukier, armoured look, befitting of a powerful knight. The colour scheme was fun, but tricky. Trans-dark-green, mata green and old gold are all a bit rare, so the designs for her armour were a bit limited, and to bring in more green I had to use lots of system. I would have used system anyway, but still.
She is also one of the few MOCs I have with hair. She uses my female skeleton design, one of my chest designs, that trick I came up with for shoulder armour and several new things, as well as Kai heffernan's pelvis design.
All in all, I think I'm a bit proud of this one. ^^
Great! Could you add some pictures showing the insides, i.e. with armour taken off? May I also recommend looking at my Mho Squad? They are actually somewhat similar to Gloriana in the looks and one features a hooded cape, too. ;)
That's a very good MOC I see here. I love the color scheme. Good job on the torso and legs. Good System integration too. My complain would be the lower arms, because the metru feet pieces stick out a bit too much IMO. But that's all. Overall great job with those rare colors!
excellent work my only quam is the arms. It kinda bothers me when people make custom arms and not have be able to cross, but I kind deal with when people use metru shoulder I love that design and spent an hour trying to figure out my own design,

I know I've already said this, but that is a genius use of the minifigure cape.
Cool creation. I like its color scheme, and the build, as usual, is well done. I liked the storyline, its, unintentionally, kinda fitting with My NSM theme(in wich everyone are hybrids), except mine takes place in a very far future... Anyway, useless facts apart, its quite a nice creation you got here.
I'm going to the Taylor Swift Fearless concert this month and wondered if her and the other singers sang the same songs every night or if they change it up a little bit for every one.

Gringat, will you be willing to take part in a bio-battle between elite builders to make a bionicle rendition of characters of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3? So far i have invited you, Clockwork Tempest and Ben Cossy. Are you up to the challenge?
Nice! Green and Gold has been one of my favorite colour schemes since Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Amazing really, the fabric bits are well placed, she looks like a high ranking knight.
Great Moc, and I'm loving that color scheme and the female aspect of the whole build. That must have been a lot of old silver, too, although I think those knights kingdom leg armors don't look right on her and should be removed. Nice skirt and upper torso, but the forearms look rather...bulky. All in all, a wonderful creation from you!
Awesome MOC gringat! your talent and skills are most amazing, I wish to be as good as you someday! The back-story is great, and the build is amazing! just one question: what is the difference between a Toa and a Glatorion, genetics-wise?

I don't really know what to say. It's truly a work of art and you found a great use for the minifigure cape.
You do great work. Coloration is a great combo, Greebles are awesome. kinda jealous of how well your female mocs come out.
I'm almost done building you, just need to figure out a thigh design I like
Again, you made something amazing. The Backstory is really creative, and I love the moc! The way you fit the light/jungle elements to the moc is well done, and the colors are a nice combination. I really like the greebles on the arms and the snakes on the back! Really great moc, i think i like this more than any other of your female mocs. Well done! 5/5
Great! Very regal. I love the color scheme and armour. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the green technic piece on the forarm is a bit flat, but what with the rarity of Mata green it's definitely forgivable. Everything here works together so well- this is just fantastic!
Most Impressive! I have to agree with Clockwork on the high level of awesomeness in this! Love the snake greebles and what a brilliant idea for her hair! Lovely colour scheme too! Amazing work ;)
Quoting Callan Lord of Fire
Rascus colors FTW!!! ;D Amazing job on her, the druids team is coming along quite nicely. So if he's a turaga, what happened to Nilmador's toa power?!?
