Queen Anne's Revenge
Blackbeard's ship as seen in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides...... this took quite a while and original set had surprisingly poor parts for accurate QAR..... I may build better version later I know this is bit too short (official hullparts you know) and has too much height- but POTC-QAR has enormous stern....
About this creation

Poor Jack has been pressganged to Blackbeard's crew

Stern

Lego did forget something important from the official QAR- as even said in the movie:"I've seen the name, on the back of the ship."
:P

Angelica in command of the Queen Anne's Revenge

Captain Blackbeard himself- i changed the hat since this is more accurate than lego's hat design that looks like Davy Jones rather than Blackbeard......ín fact upcoming Jones-figure has the same hatdesign but Blackbeard has more traditional tricorne in movie

I used official lego's flag while it is not accurate- in movie there is no vampirefangs but sharp teeth, red glowing eyes and blood in skull's mouth

Philip Swift (custom- i don't have the Whitecap Bay) tied up to the mast.....

Without figs:

Blackbeard in his cabin (this is not modular so i had to take it apart to picture insides while all this stuff except figs were there.....

Bottled ships

Angelica's quarters

decks:

I made few scenes from the film with this ship but i post them later as their own mocs....

the only part I didn't like was that the scale of the ship lengthwise was not accurate, other than that, it was a pretty good build.

Quoting Grigor G. Actually, Swash & Sebeus, here is something that might help you both with determining the ship classification for the Queen Anne's Revenge: it was originally a French Naval Vessel named La Concorde. I'm not sure if it is a frigate or galleon, but it is an amazing vessel.
that doesn't help in case of POTC-version since no one is sure what original QAR looked like- they designed POTC-vessel without any real reference....

Really nice work, it looks much better then the original Lego version, I especially like the balcony at the back of the ship!

Quoting Jason Gemmill The figurehead looks good, but too big for the width and over-all design of the hull. However, that is not our fault. Lego needs to create a wider hull for future ship sets. And on a separate note, The Queen Anne's Revenge from POTC is not patterned after a frigate nor a galleon.....It's a frickin' English Man 'O War.
Hull is wide enough but too low and bit short and yeah skeleton is oversized but normal legoskeleton is too little.....

Quoting Sebeus I Sorry but I can't help saying, the QAR as seen in POTC is NOT a frigate, not even close, the real, hystorical one was a frigate, but the ship in POTC is more like a galleon, even a heavely modified frigate doesn't come near the appearance of POTC's QAR. Btw, there's a lot of nonsens on the POTC wiki, just saying, Greetz Sebeus
No you're now confusing "frigates" of pirate time to "frigates" of napoleonic times- those are not close to QAR but because QAR only has one full batterydeck it is "frigate" that is definition of frigate during early 18th century when POTC takes place- before that during 17th century it was even more unclear term..... historical QAR was not frigate of napoleonic times either but more like galleon or barque

Well done! It looks very good. Except that i'ts too short as you noted yourself. And i agree with Blackbeard's hat, it look too much like Davy Jones'. And i'm sorry for my previous comment. I was very tired. Good job once again!

Quoting brad TheGible I agree that it does look a little too short. The QAR reminds me of the Flying Dutchman, because it has the big fat stern. Could you tell me what class of ship it is, I never saw the movie.
QAR is frigate with galleon like rigging and oversized stern probably customised by Blackbeard- originally it was supposedly sistership of the Black Pearl aka wicked Wench I think- and real reason is that they were made from same ship so they rebuilt Pearl to QAR which is pity in fact since Pearl had better style IMO....

Quoting Sebeus I About that greek fire weapon, I did notice there were two rather big circle shaped markings on the bow of the QAR, bigger than those headlight bricks you used.
i cannot add it to hull really it is there where official hullpart is it may be the Greek fire- weapons holes what those are- also I cannot attach fires to any bigger hole really- if you have idea to do more accurate bow i would like to see it....

Quoting morthen poulsen well as you said, its to high, (but the lenght isnt to short , its okay) well i dont like the multi coler it haves, its to many, and it looks alittle blocky, and now to the good things, i like the cabin lvls, they fit in good. and the idol, well its to big, but its pretty nice made. and the detail with the name written on the back, great idea, but as a whole unit its an okay QAR, better then lego's. (last note) the flamethrowers is missing =). but its missing on all the QAR ive seen so far, im looking forward to your second version.
There is no flamethrowers in QAR just two holes for Greek Fire(accurate term for that ancient weapon) this actually has Greek fires- those tiny holes in the frónt of the ship- fire will be released in one scene i made with it ;P - i'll post it later but you'll see it has greek fire-flares.... second version is not coming soon so don't look forward to it just eyt- ship was very worn in the movie so multicolored look is not that far away from truth but yeah maybe i shouldn't have put so many different colors to the stern....

I really like this creation, I still haven't seen the movie, but when I do I'll look for the differences like the flag. The skeleton in the bow of the ship is probably my favorite part, it's so complex, your attention to detail is incredible. BTW do you know where information/images are for the black pearl set? Once again, nice job.

Quoting Patrick M. O. Jensen An official Davy Jones model? Are you sure? And as usual, great creation. But i don't get the skeletons hanging from the chains in the back, otherwise great job!
What skeletons- there is black lantern with skeletal pieces (lego's design bit changed) and then skeletons attached to stern- like in the movie but no skeletons hanging from the chains in the back- there is them in the front though but so is in the movie-ship.... Oh and yes Davy will appear alongside Maccus and Bootstrap Bill in upcoming Black Pearl set.... there is also Jack, Will and Gibbs of course...

Very nice, you already said so yourself, it's a tad short but that stern/cabin looks awesome. My favourite part would be the ships' idol, entrances to the cabin are nice too. In total the ship looks too high but I suppose part of the ship should be under the waterline which makes sense. Great job. (oh and don't forget to add it to Kings of the Sea)

Amazing! Lovely work on the front of the boat and the back is just magnificent! Lovely work! Much better than Lego's version! Brilliant stuff! I have uploaded some more system MOC's if you want to see them, I won't be upset if you don't, I'm just letting you know :D Again, totally awesome!
