The Mil Mi-24 "Hind" is a Russian heavy attack gunship.
About this creation
The Mil Mi-24 (NATO reporting name "Hind") is a large helicopter gunship and low-capacity troop transport (with room for 8 passengers) produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and operated from 1972 by the Soviet Air Force, its successors, and over thirty other nations. It is known to Russian pilots by multiple nicknames such as "Krokodil" (Crocodile), and "letayushchiy tank" (flying tank). The Mi-24 is armed with a 12.7mm Yak-B gatling gun on the nose, four S-24 240 mm ATGMs, and four S-5 55mm rocket pods with 32 S-5 rockets per pod. Source: Wikipedia.
New revised version
This is my latest revision of my previous Hind. It is largely based off of Jake's Hind, but it is NOT a copy of it.
Unfortunately, I was unable to come up with a reasonably well working landing gear system, so I omitted them altogether. Guess this particular Hind will be having a uncomfortable landing.
Weapon subsystem, two S-24 240mm ATGMs on each pylon as well as one UB-32 rocket pod.
Pretty accurate scale to the real thing in regard to the minifig's size.
I reckon I could fit maybe five minifigs inside, maybe seven.
The five-bladed rotor is really tricky to build and figure out in LDD, so I settled for the six blades of a CH-53
