After a long period of disactivity, I should hopefully be able to begin uploading stuff again and building more (It's been a very busy summer so far as well). This Hobbit Hole is my perspective of what it would appear like (probably not as accurate as Tolkien's description in the book, he never went into much detail with the exterior)in an illustration. This actually came off of a school project, and I ended up improving it a bit.
About this creation
The full view
The right side of the ground-built house
The left side.
I've never exactly been good with mountain slopes and garden patches for some reason. It all seems to simple to construct such a landscape, but in reality it's more difficult for me. I do, however, like how the carrots stick out of the ground. Next time I create a LEGO garden, I'll make the ground level as level as the top of the soil as shown.
The back view. Yes I know, that little space missing a brick looks a bit sloppy.
If I can get more of those ice cream pieces, I can create real smoke using LEGO bricks. This will do for now...
The front porch.
"IT BELONGS TO US, PRECIOUS!!!"
Something interesting I should mention here, is that Tolkien's description of Gollum in The Hobbit stated that Gollow's eyes glowed a fierce color in the dark (either yellow or green, I can't remember). As soon as I found this LEGO head, I thought "This is exactly what I'm looking for."
Fourth Roof Commentary:
Well, I should be starting to upload more creations soon, I now have a constructed light box to take photos of my creations, and hopefully soon I can get a new camera.
About the creation, I as I said earlier that I made some improvements, I did some minor construction on the hill, added the chimney and a better garden, and added that small bucket instead of a basket object. Looks a bit better now.
