It's not important to have read the whole story, per se, just the last few pages in chapter one.

Well, I wouldn't say EXACTLY. The involvement of.. shall we say, "certain parties" has been modified somewhat so as to better tie in to the planned arc. You probably also noticed that I've modified the mechanics behind time travel to be a bit less genocidal.
