The Sealing of District 15
About this creation
Sometime in the not so distant future, the world is ruled by a single, massive Goverment.
The Goverment has broken the world into small controllable districts, that are each surounded by huge stone walls.
When a deadly virus spreads through District 15, the president decides to have the district sealed and left to its own devices, instead of waisting precious resources to send aid.
Guards are set at all the gates in the case of an unlikely escape attemt of virus bearing citezens.

Some shots of the hardsuit. Which I really love! With a passion!

Yes this was somewhat inspired by the Hunger Games books.
Which the movie I am in. : )

Quoting Fritz K Ru, this is an amazing creation! I love the plants and hardsuit. I like your twist to The Hunger Games! So, you're in The movie!?!? That is so awesome!!! I will see it soon, so could you tell me what part so I can look out for you? By the way, if you have time, (I know you're a busy builder) please check out my The Hunger Games vignette, the scene where Rue is being speared. Please do tell me, it would be so cool to see you in the movie!
Thank you sir! You actually can't ever see me (as far as I know) because of the crazy weird camera work. But you can see my mom and sisters a couple of times in the D12 scenes.

If it were a post-apocalyptic setting, I'd tell you to cover the gap with some foliage. Also, I guess it's too thin for a tile so it's un-fillable. Anyway, I actually like to post C&C. It helps me improve too.

I love the magnifying glass used as a scope and the chisel on the end. This is just the wall though. I want to see the inside. :)

Part 3/3. General advice and observations: (1) It's "Guards", not "Gaurds". (2) It's not only a matter of quality, but also a matter of quantity! What about showing the other side, or a road, or a creative way of visualizing the infrastructures between the districts? Nothing happens in the vignette! Just two soldiers standing! In a diorama, you can put a number of "vignettes"; small details and scenes within the larger scene. (3) If you want C&C, remind the viewers in each and every MOC! (4) It took me a lot of time to write this review, but it was worth it. You also managed to make me interested in this book series. (5) Look on Areetsa's hardsuits: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/256260 Summary and conclusions: well presented (great editing, photgraphy and backstory), interesting build, but you still have some things to improve.

Part 2/3. The bad: (1) The exposed studs on the wall doesn't look very good. I'd use the tiles for covering them instead of making a road. (2) The 1x1 round plates on the shoulders are unnecessary.(3) The scale is just wrong. Try to make your hardsuits proportional to minfigs or to humans. To make it minifig-proportional just lower the legs, and to make it human-proportional just lower the legs (just a bit) and enlarge the arms (just a bit). (4) The thin waist looks odd. Usually, hardsuits are (unconsciously) designed according to the supposedly ideal male body shape; large torso, especially the shoulders, and smaller legs and waist ("V-shape"). The waist you built looks like a female waist ("hourglass figure"), and it looks odd with those wide, big shoulders. Nevertheless, an intended "female bodysuit" might be interesting and unique. You can see what I described on Areetsa's hardsuits, the link is in the last part. (5) I don't like the color diversity of the hardsuit.

Part 1/3. I'm posting a review for the Comment Group. Remember that these are just opinions and not facts; I'm just telling you what I liked and what I didn't like. The review will be divided to 3 parts, posted in a reverse order so you'll be able to read them chronologically. The good: (1) I like the SNOT door, even though you left a gap (or a black tile) there. I like its design, although it would look better with ONLY red and grey. (2) The weapons. Overdone and awesome. (3) The photography is perfect, especially the well-chosen main picture. (4) The hardsuit, excluding points 2-5 in the next section, is awesome. The position of the shoulders is unique and innovative, although other might dislike it. (5) The backstory is really interesting. Sounds like a dystopian science fiction novel/movie, is that the backstory of the Hunger Game series? (6) I like the ladder-windows, although this usage seems familiar. Have you seen it elsewhere? (7) The use of the tooth plates is really great.

(1) A gap I could not fill. (2)Thanks. (3)GIMP!! (4) The basic design is that of Cam M on Flickr. (5)Vaguely somewhat. (6) I'm sure I've seen it done beofore, not sure where though. (7)Thanks. Thank you AA, for this detailed reveiw!

(1) True, I should have covered them. Really not sure why I didn't. (2)Only thing I could think of to cover the holes. (3)I am new to hardsuits, so this advice is welcome and will be put to good use. (4) This is funny, cause it actually was originally a female! But I dropped the hardsuit and the head fell off, And I could not(and still can't) find it. When looking for a head to replace it, I saw the scout trooper head and thought it would look cool. (5) More juicy advice that will be used.

(1) Typo is fixed, thanks for pointing that out. (2) I plan on making this bigger when my castle is done. This small build was originally made to show off the hardsuit. (3) I'll remember that. (4)Thank you for this in depth reveiw, I am now determined to rebuild this post castle.
