Very Cool moc, When you have time can you try to make Exia and its variants.
I actually can't stand Exia, sorry. Others will probably have a go at it at some point. |

This is amazing. Do you think the sword would work and be stable enough in real bricks as I would like to use the sword blade at least in my Exia project that I'm doing.
It should work--feel free to try it out.

Hi I would like to know if it is alright if I use the Basic Frame of this to build my Exia, Dynames, Kyrios and Nadleeh/Virtue. I need to know because I'm building a CBS-70 Ptolemaios to fit them in and I'm going to need to know how big to build it so I can fit them in. Anyway this is a great model that you've made, just like all your others, keep it up!
Hi Brandon. Its been a busy last few days for me, so I haven't been replying to all your kind commments, but I fully intend to today. In response to your question, the frame that this is built off of, is this one http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/273999. As it stands, it will build a mech that is about 10-12" high, if not more. However, the legs, arms and torso can all be adjusted to different heights by substituting shorter or larger pieces. The model as it stands would require a Ptolemaios model that is probably close to 5-6 feet long, so if you are actually trying to design containers that these will fit in, then you might want to adjust the size downward by probably about half, so that you aren't dealing with such a giant ship. Microscale may be the way to go to, but you'll have to look elsewhere for that. There are a lot of great microscale Gundam 00 builders out there and I'm not sure who is currently the best one. Hope that helps! |

this thing is beast! have you built it in real life and can it actually stand on those skinny legs?
All my lego is in storage right now, so I haven't had a chance to build anything in about a year and a half. But, in real life, no, the legs probably would not be able to hold up the 0 raiser/ XN Raiser parts. Its just too heavy in lego. This model would work best on a display stand for aerial poses, which is where the 00 Raiser shines the most anyways. |

Thanks for the frame. I've been looking at it and changed it a bit to fit my unit. Not plugging, but since part of it was made thanks to you, here is the result so far:
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/284591
It's nowhere near done yet though. I know the joints I use will probably not support it, but I'm still in doubt whether or not I'll truly build it anyway, so for now, this will do. |

Thanks, I'll look at your model asap. I'm mostly interested in how you did the legs, but if I read correctly, (could be wrong) you use a frame for most of your gundams? My model doesn't have one and I'm mostly concerned about stability while still being able to pose, even if only a little. I'll try and post some pics asap.
I use a frame for 99% of my mecha. If you are looking for the frame that this one is based off of, then you probably want to look here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/273999 |

If I may ask a question, when fully equiped with raiser, is it stable when built in real bricks? I'm trying to build one myself but I'm always worried about balancing it to stand.
Edit: crap. You already answered the question, sorry. Would you mind if I download the add instructions and analyse how you built it? I'm having trouble building limbs for my model.
The instructions are there for everyone to learn from and to benefit from. If I didn't want people to use them, I wouldn't post them. I hope it is of some use to you. I would be interested to learn how it works out. |

No more 00? What do you plan on doing next?? Also i just thought of this and i may not be the only one but LDD is really troublesome to use. The fact that you could create these Masterpieces makes me wonder what you could do with real legos. I myself find it easier with an actual model in my hands You people are relentless! hahaha! As it happens, I am working on my final few projects for the immediate future. But after that I'm taking a break. I've already mentioned them below (you guys really don't read other people's comments, do you?) I do have a large number of builds in real lego, though I admit, they aren't as impressive as the ones in LDD, though most of them now have LDD instructions. My real lego is in storage at the moment and won't be available to me for quite some time, so I won't be building in real lego any time soon unfortunately.

That is really surprising. I guess that means the only thing stopping someone from building it is the sheer number of pieces required. |

So awesome. I agree with Cody, this has to be your best yet. It's unfortunate that building it in real life isn't possible, because of the weight of so many pieces bearing down on the frame. But that doesn't take away from the fact that it's very very good. What gundam series are you planning to do next? Personally, I'd like to see more Gundam Wing builds, as you only have one at the moment, but that's just me.
Oh, this can indeed be built in real life, and I have every confidence that the 00 Just on its own would stand up nicely, but the 00 Raiser, even in plastic model form suffers badly from being back-heavy, and of course, this goes triple for lego models. However, as I said, this model would be well suited for a stand, where it could show off aerial poses (which it is better suited for anyways). I've only made a couple of mecha in LDD that are not possible to build in real life, and this isn't one of them. |

This is awesome, especially the trans AM version. How long did this take you to build? What are your future plans? I was thinking of building the aegis or justice in LDD, but at the moment I have The gundam Mark II from zeta build, ready and posed. All I need are the screen shots.
From 00 to 00 Raiser took between 2 and 2 1/2 weeks, I believe. It only took that long because my first build of 00 crashed and I had to rebuild it by looking at screenshots, then I had to rebuild nearly weapon, upgrade and accessory twice because I wasn't happy with the first version. So, this probably could have been built in a week or a week and a half if everything went smoothly. As to my future plans, see my reply to Thomas Z further down the page, as my future plans are not so spectacular that they bear repeating. |

Another question ask for my friend, do you know how to use LDD to generate a material list after finish a creation?
LDD can do that for you, but I think that there is an even better way to do that. If you use this program, it will give you a parts breakdown of what was used, as well as giving you links to the appropriate part on Bricklink. http://www.lugnet.com/jump.cgi?http://www.blarworld.net/software.html is the link for the program, I believe. |

Nice detail! I especially love the green part on your GN III. BTW, is there only one T-bar on driver arm which connect the GN-driver with the wing of Raiser? There is, but the modified brick with the hole in it that attaches to the t-bar is extremely sturdy--I was experimenting with this sort of design in real lego just before I had to put it all in storage and it held up under more weight than any other joint of that size. I am fairly confident that it could handle the weight of the Raiser wing. In real life, if it was going to hold such a pose for a long time, then I would be propping it with another piece on the underside of the arm to decrease stress on the joint. In all honesty, this model would probably not be able to stand under its own weight--it would most likely require a stand. But then, I understand that this is a problem with the regular gunpla as well, and lets face it--this is a model that looks a lot better doing aerial poses anyways.

This rivals your freedom i have to say. The fact that you took the time to do all the variants is amazing. I think you should tackle the braves or harute or maybe make a gn over flag eh? Awesome! I love all the poses, it's like the MOC is "alive". I bow at your skills at posing a MOC! :D I'm going to upload my Hykelion soon but I have problems with posing the MOC, it's a real pain to pose a complex build. I can't even imagine how hard it was for you to pose this masterpiece. What's next? :D
Each different pose took between 1/2 hour and 1 hour to do, in most cases, because this one has so many different points of articulation, and each of them need to be fiddled with. As to what is next? Well, the METEOR Unit is still on my list, but I noticed that LDD was experiencing lag and slowdown even with my XN Raiser, so I may have to put it off indefinitely. I also want to fix up the 00 Qan[T] because it is not fair that the 00 be so much nicer than its upgrade unit. Other than that, I have two original design mecha in the works, and then I will attempt the Gaddess. But after that, I'm definitely taking a break from building for a while. At this point, I've built nearly every model that I had hoped to, either in real lego or virtually. I hope over time, to make a few more of these virtual models into a reality, but that is still a long way down the road, I'm afraid. |
