Here's my second AEGAKS:
The frame is a heavily modified version of hound's frame, which is not a coincidence, since this mech was built at the same factory (more details comming soon to the AEGAKS Spearpoint story page). Unlike hound it is much more bulky with better armor and more weapons, which make it a lot slower. It's usually used as a frontline mech, capable of resisting heavy damage and it's armed with a LMG mounted on the pilot block, a heavy caliber gauss rifle on his right arm and rocket launchers on the shoulders. The Power cell also houses the comm-array and a small cargo compartment.
About this creation
That's it, hope you enjoyed. Don't forget to rate and comment
Thanks mate. About the photo of the frame, i had one, but probably there was some error during the upload and I hadnīt noticed. And yes, the cargo compartment is part of the power cell, as I said in the description and about the block, if I was a sniper and I had a clear shot at it, I wouldnt waste a round trying to damage a small hinge when I could try to take out the pilot and in the process render the whole mech useless. But again, thanks for the comment, I always appreciate some constructive criticism:)
While I think this AEGAKS is very unique, I have found, what I believe, are a few flaws.
As stated in an earlier comment, Tempest looks very top heavy, as it probably is. A possible suggestion to fix this, maybe make the hips and legs thicker/bulkier to counter balance the upper torso and arms. The Pilot Block is very unique I must say. One possible flaw is with all the "moving mechanics", during battle, what if the enemy had a sniper that could pinpoint and fire a round into one of those "hinges" and keep the pilot from escaping the pilot block? (just something to think if this were real life, and yes, I know it's Lego, it's just something to think about sometimes) The gun arm looks very nice, as well as the storage container section (which I'm guess is partly the fuel cell?) Only thing I could think to tell you to try and add (photo wise) is maybe a shot of the frame without the pilot block. Other than those little things, I think this is a wonderful build. Keep up the good work!
Very interesting design. The broad shoulders suggest it's a brawler type, but the heavy weapons suggest it's a gunner type. Nice mixture of close and ranged. The Pilot block is unusual, but it definitely feels like it's been built from scrap. Nice work, I look foreward to more. ^Blub^
