De Tomaso Pantera GTS 1977
This is my entry for Ryan Links contest and Dan the Mans 4th car contest. It's also a car i've been meaning to make since i joined MOCpages.
About this creation
This was one of my favourite cars when i was younger and was built in the year that i was born.

If you want to see the pictures of the real car i based this on here is the website:

http://www.investmentmotorcars.net/inventory/detail/77gts/detail.htm

I think i have got it pretty accurate to the real thing, however i did struggle with the rear 3/4 where i think i could have done a bit better (given the time). I also think it would have looked cool with stickers on the side, but unless done properly i think stickers look naf so i didn't bother.

Everything that opens on the real car opens on my lego replica. The bonnett is a little on the chunky side due to the snot tecnique i used to recreate the grilles.

A shot with the door open. Notice the speakers and armrest in the door and the pedals.

The back opens to show off the engine. I love this engine it is a sight to behold :) It is based on an engine from a slightly different Pantera but was made in the same year.

The detailed interior, notice the speedometer and revometer, i'm quite proud of the way these look.

These photos don't reallydo the interior justice, the black doesn't show up well enough :(

The comfy italian leather seats.

And finally some engine shots

I decided to make the emblem too, which i think looks pretty cool.

That's your lot, hope you like it please take a minute to rate and comment.

And last but not least, good luck to all the other entrants :)

This is extremly detailed. I know that because I saw a black Pantera at the Gentilini Ford car show in New Jersey. I give it a 5 out of 5.

More then having a good eye for detail you have the talent to make what you see in your MINDS EYE a reality! I loved the handles on the inside of the car and a great dashboard! Science teachers would have loved to have you when it came to them teaching -- the simple engine! A job well done --- and the car is in my favorite color - RED! ;-{)}

Stunning MOC. It's all excellent, but it's the interior which really stands out - which is one of the best I've ever seen. Lovely car, 5 stars

Ahh!! Finally! A Pantera for Mr. DeTomaso Pantera! Nice but...there are some things that need some work: the roof is way too high or the wheelbase is 2+ studs short. It's really low on the real one. I agree with Nick Barret - the steering wheel would look much better if it's tilted. In fact, in some pictures, it looks like it's tilted down. I'm currently working on a Porsche 911 GT2 RS (it's about 80% finished), and my secret project (it's actually on hold because I need pieces from Bricklink). Still very nice: 4/5

Wow Dude this is amazing. Very very accurate to the real thing you have captured the shape/angles perfectly. The front views are great and i really like the snot on the bonnet. The detailed interior is stunning too, I love those speedos! The engine is also really good. Unfortunately I don't have time to enter a moc - and after seeing this it's probably for the best. FTW. Great work Tomaso

if the steering wheel was at an angle rather than vertical I believe this would be perfect!
Haha thanks Nick you're very kind. It was a toss up between the steering wheel being too far back and on an angle or the way it is due to the speedos, the way it is looked better but it was one of the details that did slightly bug me :)

Oh my! Clearly a labour of love. This is just gorgeous - the shape, interior, engine, everything is beautifully built. Because this is such a glorious moc, one very small detail becomes noticeable as the only flaw; if the steering wheel was at an angle rather than vertical I believe this would be perfect!
