AEGAKS-114-BWh "Maksis" Human Authority Infantry
A mass production Land type frame. These long legged models are designed as basic infantry, and are suited to light armanent.
About this creation
Well, for all those of you who have been clamoring for me to make a new mecha, all I can say is:

"Hold your horses!"

I've been working on this model in secert for weeks, and I wanted it to be well developed before I posted it.

There's not really much story here for this model, and it's not meant to be canon with the Project AEGAKS Spearpoint story arc. It might fit into the Evolution Story arc, but I'm unsure. I was oringally going to make this a racer, but the wheeled feet just would work, so I converted to a combat type. I'm just going to explain the ideas behind the pictures.

The Maksis was designed to accomadate ground combat, and features long, well armored legs, which are vital to its mobility. There are several sources of influence in it's design, which include, but are not limited to, the Gundam universe, IGPX, and Break Blade.

The legs allow for kneeling very nicely. I made the hips extra wide to allow for mobility.

As with all AEGAKS, the pilot block is ejectable. However, the powercell is integrated into the frame. Also different to this design, the head unit is attached to the main frame instead of the pilot block, as I have done with my other AEGAKS.

The frame with out the Pilot Block. The frame and head unit are all one piece. Unlike the other AEGAKS designs, the pilot block is not the torso for the unit. Instead, the pilot block is an extension for the torso. This position offers a better ejection trajectory.

The Maksis head unit is also the first that I have designed to have two eyes. A single eye is standard to the M Frame series, and the Solice had three for superior fields of vision. The original version of this head had fins out the side of the head. Eventually the fins were removed and the current the design was developed. I'm very pleased with how it ended up.

A closeup of the foot, to show how the foot is constructed. This was inspired by the golems of Break Blade. This foot design is very unorthodow, but surprisingly stable. The ball joints allow the toe and heel to move freely, and to balance more thuroughly. I also like how the use of the Black dish parts makes the foot seem complete, without having to add too much more to it.

The "Maksis" with its rifle, the LAR-45MR. The LAR-45MR is a medium range, 100mm mecha equipable rifle, featuring a bullpup ammo design. This rifle was inspired by my good friend CEO Camargo's rifle designs. You can see his design here.

The handle features a removeable hardpointed scope that links to the head unit, to allow for medium to long range combat. The LAR-45MR is a select fire weapon, capable single shot, three round burst, and full auto.

The LAR-45MR is a single hand rifle design, meaning that it can be operated and fired single-handed. This allows for ease of operation and use even with the loss of an arm. This however, does not mean that dual hand use is unnecesary. Any weapon is more stable and accurate when firing double handed.

Here, the Maksis is equipped with a Lasing Blade. The hands are of course well suited for handling blades. However, given the size of the frame, the Lasing Blade is less of a shortsword and more of a combat knife.

Here, the Maksis is using a Lasing Spear. The tip is a Lasing Blade that can still operate should the staff section be damaged or broken. Many individuals feel that such weapons have no place on the battlefield. We wholehearted disagree. We feel there should be more such weapons on the battlefield.

Seen here on the shoulder is the Passive Sensor Array and Comm system. The real reason though was that I was short one of those wheel guards, and had to improvise something. But it turned out nicely.

In the racer version, this would have been the mandatory spedometer, that would be required of all racers to combat cheating. And it would be an instant disqualification, should it get knocked off. The location in the design is not specified, but it is mandatory.

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Well, here's the standard comparison shot that all my mecha MOCs have, standard equipment, you know? Seen here is the Maksis, and the Arkham prototype, type Hayato.

As stated before, this one had a lot of outside influence. The legs were inspired by the Gundam universe, where as I derived the feet from the golems of Break Blade. The armor was mildly influenced by the anime IGPX. Plus I pulled inspiration from a few different builders around MOCPages, such as CEO Camargo, Mythril Dlarix, and LC. There's also some influence from my Majda works here too.

Hope you guys like this one. I had a blast making it. And for those who are have been following my foray into the world of "Unintended Consequences", the next installment will be uploaded in the next few days.

Quoting Brody Allen Great bots! That is what I love about MOCPages. I haven't built any large scale mechs but you may have just inspired me! If I do and post anything you will definitely be getting some credits. I really enjoy the details like the matching pilot and the accessory weapons.
Thank you. This is definitely one of my favorite builds, though if the Pages will start to behave again, I will update it with the mods I've made.

Quoting ccy 8086 It's nice to see you trying something different and you success. Love the color you choose and the weapon you design for it. The head design is also very impressive. The most important thing is that you are going to improve the pose-ability for your mecha. It's not that easy especially when you try to trade-off between pose-ability and stable. Keep going such great build~
Thanks for the positive feedback. I've been updating the Maksis, and it now sports redefined legs, a new foot design, and more weapons. I've even managed to improve the stability slightly. Hopefully I'll get to post this update soon.

Quoting Fredrick Givens dude, i've been busy with school and work and haven't been on here in ages. just to come back and see this.....dude, u define the AEGAKS line. keep it up
Thanks, but I've not been as active as I'd hoped. Without resources, it's hard to do anything.

Quoting Androctonid - Impressive. I've been wanting to build a larger, maximum-agility mech for a while now, but I can't figure out exactly how to work it. 5/5 on this, good work friend.
Thanks. Let me tell you, as they get bigger, they get harder to design for agility-based designs. Since there's more weight, and defaultly more structure.

Quoting Cody G Well done, you were totally due for building a mecha. I love the head!
Yeah, I was overdue. But it may be a while before I can build another one. I am very pleased with the head. It looks more in depth than the "standard" heads I use.

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Cool mecha, really impressive poseability! It reminds me a little of the District 9 mecha, just a little. The colours fit perfectly and that gun looks like it can do quite some damage! ~Marc
Thanks. The poseability was an important feature I like to focus on. Glad the colors worked well, I was worried that they were unbalanced. And I'm working on a shotgun right now.

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo A masterpiece! The lengthened legs really fit in this theme. Loved how you moved forward the pilot block. The weapons are amazing specially the spear, really breathtaking. The rifle is unique and very well built and the removable magazine is awesome. Glad to see another AEGAKS from you Jason!
Remember, my friend. You built the first B Frame, so you deserve some credit. Glad you liked the rifle. I wanted a futuristic looking bullpup, and not made from my typical parts. When you going to show of your new stuffs?

Quoting Liam Covey Good stuff man, glad to see you're back into Mecha. I'm hopefully going to get another built one of these days. The articulation of the appendages are great, the back looks really good, and I think you did pretty well on the improvisation. Can't wait to see more!
Ah well, the scarcity of parts has kind of driven me underground for a while. Like I said before, been working on this for weeks, scrounging parts. Might try something with the leftovers.

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix Cool new design! The legs in particular are well built, though it feels to me like the inner side of the legs needs something to flesh it out a bit. Have you ever seen the original G1 toy of Megatron? You know how his legs are obviously just one leg split into two halves? Thats what the inner edge of the leg on this one sort of communicates to me--it looks like it transforms and when it does, the two legs stick together. Am I making any sense?
Yeah, I know what you mean. Mostly, this was due to part constraints. I did not have any parts that would look suitable there. I will most definitely be tweaking and updating this one, so keep an eye for it. I'll address it with my next update.

Quoting Daniel Revanales WHOA.....My jaw nearly dropped off...Can I assume You Decide! is still up????? Also,do you seriously have all those AEGAKS and there variants???? Also...that integrated head and powercore design was something I did with my AEGAKS.....Convergent Evolutuon??!!??
Yes, the "You Decide!" is still up. You have five more days to put your opinion up. And yes, my M frame collection remains intact, so I can take other pictures.
