I’ve been playing Fable II again. There’s something I think about while playing, I have ten swords and 5 guns, but where is my hero keeping them? I don’t see a backpack… Well, here’s what a hero would look like if he had to carry all his stuff on his back.
About this creation
Go on, listen to the pretty music.
The vig takes place in the region called ‘The Bandit Coast’ and the hero is traveling through it to get to Westcliff. The hero wants to take a go at the Crucible, a deadly arena in Westcliff; participants must battle eight levels of enemies to emerge victorious. The hero stops in his tracks, two bandits are blocking the way. They haven’t attacked yet, perhaps they want to taunt first.
Bandit 1- Oh look, another traveler!
Bandit 2- Heh heh. Are you lost little boy?
Hero-…
Bandit 2- Come on, fight us!
Bandit 1- I don’t think he can, he’s carrying his entire house on his back!
//Fourth Wall Talk//
I built this last night, from 11:15pm to 12:37am.
No that’s not a pirate, not everyone with a spiffy hat and cutlass is a pirate. He is a traveler, or was a traveler. The bandits killed, looted, and left him here long ago.
There’s all sorts of ruins in Fable II, this is just a small re-creation of a crumbling pillar.
The cliffs are a lot taller in the game, but I didn’t want this to be a multi-day build.
The Bandit Coast.
These are bandits 1 and 2.
And this is our hero, me, over-encumbered with the supplies I need to take everywhere. You can’t leave it anywhere in the game, which is a real shame, because this looks ridiculous.
So many weapons, so little energy.
“That’s better.”
This is my Fable II sig, added to my sig collection. I wear sunglasses in every reality.
Here’s all the stuff I was carrying. Listed from right to left, top to bottom, steel helmet, Master Longsword, Steel Longsword, Hal’s Rifle (I’ll explain below), rusty mace, Steel Shortsword, Flintlock Rifle, Iron Longsword, Pickaxe, Steel Katana, Iron Cutlass, Steel Gladius, Flintlock Pistol, Turret Pistol, Enchanted Bow, and a goblet full of elixir.
Hal’s Rifle: long ago in Albion’s past there was a incident. A portal opened up, and a figure emerged clad in green armour, wielding a strange rifle and glowing white sword. No man could beat him, but he eventually left. A blacksmith took it upon himself to reproduce his weapons and armour, no one knows where the sword and armour are now, but a hero has the rifle. (This info was taken from the Knothole Island add on).
I am going to host another contest. The participants must do something like what I did above, take something from a video game that we take for granted, and demonstrate what it would be like in real life. Sort of like RoosterTeeth’s Immersion series. Link to the Contest
Some of you may have heard (from me or someone else) that I have a super secret project that I am working on.
This is your only clue on what it is.
Very good point to be made. I happen to love that game, and you're right, if you really had that much on you, you wouldn't be able to walk. Maybe I'll jump in on the contest. ^Blub^
I know that in Fallout or the Elder Scrolls gams you can be 'over-encumbered' but I can't see a person feeling comfortable lugging around 9 plasma rifles, power armour, and other equipment.
Ha-ha! Hilarious about how much you carry, as well as the "portal" story! Also, I bet the Halo: Reach thing is a future CYOA story. If so, can I be in it? I've never been in one, and I love those!
Yes, I noticed that. I am reading First Strike ,by the same man, currently. I have never actually played Reach:( I hope to someday though:) Can't wait to see what's in store!
Hmm... could the project be a Reach dio or comic? My mind will ponder this. About the vig; I love it! So much detail in such a small place! I joined the contest, and am exited to build in it.
Very funny. The build is simple and very nice. I wish I could build anything. I'm sorting my behemoth collection that is a massive pit of pieces. so.... many.... megablocks! 5/5! ~Stay green
