The reliable, lightly armed tiltrotor aircraft used to ferry small squads of highly trained troops across the battlefield. It has few weapons, so it is used in less hostile ares where the Belkan Skyhawks are overkill.
About this creation
An above view. The rotors in the back are fixed, while the frontal rotors tilt for maneuvering. You can also see the AOE flag on the roof.
Rear view. It has four flare launchers to disrupt missile tracking.
Side shot. This helicopter was mostly inspired by the Chinook, I just wanted to give an updated version. It has a good transportation potential, with the maximum being eleven troops, a gunner, a pilot, and a small vehicle, such as a patrol boat or utility vehicle, which can be carried by a tow cable on the crafts belly (which i didnt get a picture of, oops!)
Here is the front. No, it bears no resemblance whatsoever to the Bull! Ok yeah so the cockpit is barely different at all. Sue me. The four outside troops are off. Four troops are harnessed in and ride holding the side handles, while a maximum of six fully armed troops ride on the inside, so a total of ten troops. There is also of course the pilot, and one other crewman we'll see later.
The dragonfly has two upswing doors which deploy the troops out both sides. Four sit in the main hold, while two are farther back in the fuselage.
And here you see the surprise, a chopper gunner! I said I would use that turret later, and here it is! A 50 cal. turret with 3 solid minutes firing of ammunition, also with four incendiary grenade launchers. This door is only on one side, so there are 3 doors on the chopper. The turret folds back up when the door closes. This turret allows for point-defense by putting the firefight side of deployment facing the turret, so unloading troops are protected, and it also helps protect the chopper from enemies. It is also as heavily armored as the Bull.
Here are all of the troops unloaded, of course not including the gunner and pilot, with all the doors still open.
Here are the new Spectra Ops soldiers. My favorite of course is in dead center, the squad leader. Of course inspired by MW2, the lower part of his face is similar to "Ghost's" tactical mask. And I like the look of it, and will definitely use it more. I had to think of a way to only have the lower part of the face be skull-like so this was my best, and im pleased. If you use this give credit of course!
Love the design but I can't help bu tfeel it needs to be just a bit longer. Overall though, great Moc, yet another brilliant craft to add to my 'I want other peopels Moc's' list... Absolutely brilliant!
I like it a lot. When I first saw the side view, I was going to suggest slimming the butt(?)... belly(?)... rear fuselage... but then I saw the side gunner and understood the girth. BTW, it looks more like the Japan flag.
This is your best moc yet in my opinion. I wish I had one very badly although its only about the same size as the skycat. The shape is wonderfull. Your Spectra guys are the best part of this. The leader with the skulls torso is the same as my GCR trooper. If you wanted to make one you only need to add grey legs from that colectable robot, Sand green arms, and hands, and a black beret. Lets discuss this further in the black alliance if you want.
