I'm not sure how it maims...It doesn't have any weapons.
If I were a mini-fig this is the ship I'd fly...even just to get groceries.
It's primary fuel source is Anikin's complaining, so naturally it will never run out of gas.
If I had a picture editing program I'd put some insane plasma coming out the back of it (I can hear it now, some joke about beans and a lighter...).
Now that it's finnished, it kind of reminds me of a Pod Racer...at least the concept anyway - A pod and a pair of Back-firing, Aft-set, Linear, Loud, Super thrusters (BALLS).
Drummer commentary: This ship was a lot of fun but also a massive pain. The two wing sections are quite awkward to handle and the connecting point to the cockpit pod is very flimsy (like my arms because I haven't worked out in like two years).
It doesn't look like it in the pictures but there is about a 5-6 stud difference from the front of the wings to the back.
Remember kids, if life doesn't go your way it's all Obi-won's fault!
A great looking ship, especially the shape which looks like it realy is meant to be in space and not landing on the ground. I like the way you've built the top of the wing/pod things and the way that you've greebled them to break them up visually. I think that you've chosen a good name for your ship and like the idea that it has no weapons for actually maiming moons!
I'm sorry to have missed seeing this when it first posted, Matt - nice one! I like the design, and that main shot with the really strong light works wonderfully. I also wanted to take a moment to thank you for your kind words regarding my work - both Lego and paintings. It's been all art for a few months now, but the Eye of Chaos is waiting patiently in the wings. Hopefully after a couple more shows (and a serious kitchen renovation!), I'll be able to finally finish construction...and then like every Lego maniac...start the next project! The cycle never ends, right? Take care, amigo. And thanks again for taking a moment to comment.
Wow, this is excellent. Perfect use of greebles. It harkens back to the original Star Wars ship designs. The utilitarian nature of them made them "hideously beautiful". It's something I've always loved about them.
Really weird design, just how I like it! I really like the parts selection near the back and the far side of the wings, engines are pretty sweet. I REALLY like the shot from the top, everything flows together perfectly. Well done!

It could accomplish its maiming by dumping a little fuel on its enemies. That stuff was powerful enough to destroy a billion-dollar film franchise, so who knows what it could do in battle? Break you out in hives, at least.
Your greebling abilities are excellent. Not too much, not too few. I have a hard time finding that balance. If you have a spare moment, please take a look at my Flying Rhino transport ship and leave some comments.
excellent design. Really greeble-happy in a way that recalls lots of old skool sci-fi flicks. It could accomplish its maiming by dumping a little fuel on its enemies. That stuff was powerful enough to destroy a billion-dollar film franchise, so who knows what it could do in battle? Break you out in hives, at least.
