Original Back Story
Calan was discovered unconscious by a few Matoran on the newly reformed Spherus Magna. He has no memory of how he got that way, but he has joined Tahu and his friends because he feels it's his duty to help them.
He has some fighting skills, but is still a rookie Toa. He loves to goof around and make bad jokes, which usually annoys whoever he's with. He has found skill in using a powerful fire blades made from the pincer of a Visorak.
He is also pretty over confident, which can usually lead to a whooping from his mentor Pohatu. Pohatu was chosen to work with him for his kindness and sternness, as well as the fact he's helping Callan master his Kanohi mask of speed.
Callan always gets frustrated when Pohatu puts him in his place. That's why he loves to make fun of him for something he bests Pohatu at: size.Callan has heard all about Tahu's many adventures, and has always wanted to be as great a Toa as him.

My version
on Cora Magna Callan Rules the entire Continent Sol he rules From the Burning volcanoes to the Scorching deserts. His castle is located in one of the few Paradises in the entire continent a place called the island of the Phoenix. it has the name because atone point the place burned to the ground and every thing living died but over the night every thing started growing back an in a few months every thing grew back and anew empire was established on the island. Callan was badly injured during the great war and nearly died until a powerful being from another universe touched Callan granting him eternal life. He wares a cape of pure fire and has a blade that burns as hot as a star. he leads an entire army of beings ranging from the sand tribe to the volcano tribe.
