The iconic building of Eric Mickle's CYOA series has been renovated and looks better than ever. The building is now the first in the town Roffornin, on Alta-5.
About this creation
The following MOC will be presented by yours truly.
“Yo camera, get down here.”
“Greetings, I am Eric ‘Hawk’ Mickle. I am here today to show you the build that has existed for over six months and was renovated late last night. This is also the first building in a new town called Roffornin, on Alta-5.
“This here is the newly paved road, shiny isn’t it?”
“Up here is the sidewalk with drains. I need to make it bigger next time, like 6-8 studs, not 4.”
“Let’s go inside.”
“This room is very small, and only has a few candy dispensers and a mail slot.”
“Over here is the shop floor.”
“There is a wide variety of coloured bottles on this shelf. I’m not sure what’s in them, probably something PG-13. The shelf in front of that has some junk food, delicious.”
“Zombie Apocalypse survival gear! I don’t know if you’ve heard but Alta-5 has a little infestation.”
“Look at that guy, you can’t go wrong with a three-hundred year old pistol.”
“Here is where you buy stuff, ammo is back here for obvious reasons.”
“I built this place in November. I added these ‘photo walls’, so I could take a picture of the action within without it being a view from the top.”
“Oh, almost forgot. Refrigerators with stuff you don’t like warm; milk, soda pop, candy.”
“This was also a photo wall, I didn’t use it for that a lot.”
“This is the back, not really anything special. It’s cold though.”
“We have a back door here.”
*Unlocking noise*
“There is also a loading dock. Let’s go upstairs.”
“Ugh, these stairs are really steep.”
//Three hours later//
“Hurck, okay this is the top of the stairs.”
“The drastically changed second floor! Carpet was put in!”
“This area didn’t change a lot, just the lighted table.”
“Yep, red drawers. Moving on.”
“I added a flat top to the bar, as well as cylinders to support it. The stools are also connected to the floor.”
“The couch stayed the same, but I added grills to the mini-fridge.”
“The enternainment set stayed the same, and I added a wooden floor to the center of the ‘living room’.”
“I apologize for the exposed studs but I ran out of 1x2 white tiles.”
“Coffee maker, a great invention because…
…I love coffee.”
*gulp*
“No, it doesn’t stunt your growth, I am 6 feet 3 inches.”
“The entrance to the balcony.”
“I built it small, but it works. I’ll let you in on a secret too, I destroyed the Green Grocer set I had to build this place. I call it the ‘new and improved blue grocer’.”
“Alright, time to check the roof out.”
“I changed this up a little.”
“You have to use this step ladder to get up, well you don’t HAVE to.”
“The roof. I don’t feel too safe adding this after the cast of CYOA was done here. I reckon an angry mob, of the now undead participants, is coming to take my head.”
“The view is nice from up here, it’s a shame that you can’t see it. Hehe.”
“I forgot, again, to add those window panes, another reason an angry mob should come after me. I’m high up, so don’t bring stuff up here you don’t want to fall-
-oh no!”
“Drat.”
“This is the air conditioner. I have no idea what climate Alta-5 has, but this might help.”
“This is a cool feature, if I put it on full blast the fan…
…can suspend me in air!”
“I’ll sign off with a few bonus pictures of the overall build, but first a tribute…
…to those who died in my CYOA series, those that were centered here anyway. In order of their deaths (right to left); Old Neb, Tom Foolery, Yours Truly (not me), Radioactive Rooster, James Longhead, Lewis, Glen Streeter, and Max Kester.”

Nice work! Concerning the white tiles shortage, you could have used those jumper tiles as wall trim so it looks less out of place. |
