Alright man thanks, I'll look into it. You still building? Did you finally give up on that meteor unit? Good hearing from you anyways.
I am still building but slowly. There's a lot going on for me right now, so building has to wait. I'm still going to make the METEOR Unit, but I need a much more powerful computer before I can. |

question: does this fit a fig? becuase I downloaded the model and opened up. But I couldn't see where one would fit. I'm trying the build the Cherudim, and I though I would try to make it fit a fig, but I can't do it without affecting the design I'm trying to make. SO I figured your gundams did, and you managed to make it look good but, but it seems as though it doesn't so I've given up on the fig thing.
As I stated in the features for this model, it fits a minifig in the chest. The upper chest is hollow, and the white part on the upper chest is the cockpit hatch. There isn't a cockpit with controls exactly (I didn't add them because no one would see them), but a minifig does indeed fit. The white part is on a pivot that allows it to open and close. |

exia...:(
I've never liked Exia's design, really. The 00 Qan[T] is a much nicer version of Exia's design in my opinion. So, I'll never be building Exia for that reason. I'm pretty much done with Gundam 00 for now. |

i have just recently built the torso for the 00,
love the mechinism in the cockpit!
Really? Cool! The mechanism on the cockpit was meant to be a place holder for something much cooler, but LDD is stupid and won't let me do things in the program that I KNOW are possible in real life models. I'm glad that you like it, though. Let me know if there are any major design flaws that I need to know about when you are done. |

I've decided to make saviour gundam in both flight mode and mech mode then incorporate a transformation. It'll probably be made over the course of this week along with maybe a model of dynames. Also when you make the shoulder pieces using your frame what piece do you use to go into the pegs?
Glad to hear it--MOCpages needs more Gundams. I use a 1x1x2 technic brick with hole for the shoulder pieces. Feel free to download the instructions and take it apart to see for yourself. Thats the easiest way to find out. |

The leg green thing is too big. All of them should be the same size. I'm glad to see you made the GN beam rifle/sword correct. One question, can the GN drives move to the front and to the back like they do with the actual model and in the show?
Just so you know, the GN Condensers (the green things) on the legs are significantly bigger on the legs. Lego, unfortunately is short on size options for round things. The ones on the legs only look smaller because they have various other parts protruding into them. I struggled to achieve that effect but couldn't get it right, so I left it off. In any case, the GN drives do indeed pivot to the front and back of the unit without trouble. I will demonstrate that in my next set of pics that I post. |

Well, the shoulder shields are kind of meh, but I'm happy with everything else. The shoulder shields are not used really anymore after the 00 Seven Swords Upgrade, so its not really an issue. They were really just to test the mounts for the GN Buster Sword and the 0 Raiser. |

Off to a great start I see. On the subject of lego creating a gundam theme... It would be a mixed blessing because yes you could have gundam parts which are hard to make, but it would also make previous techniques obsolete, like if they made a head with parts that were specifically designed for it, then... I don't know, I'd feel like a lot of hard work would be done for nothing if everyone in the world could just buy exactly the thing I was trying so hard to build.
They've already done it. The only reason you don't see them around much is because they aren't available in stores in the US and Europe, only Asia, and they are expensive. |

I got to second the idea that Evangelion gave on your MOC page. A LEGO Gundam theme would be a HUGE cash cow for The LEGO Group, as long as The LEGO Group gives it as much attention as it does to the LEGO Star Wars theme, by that I mean, The LEGO Group would allow for all of the pilots and Gundam mecha and other Gundam vehicles to be made in LEGO form. If The LEGO Group can mix in things like this, Tengaa Toppaa Gurren Lagaan, and Exo-Squad and make Exo-Force and it become a surprise underground hit for LEGO and if the LEGO Creator series also includes really good parts for mecha, if not bodies for outright mecha, then why not make an actual LEGO Gundam theme? It only makes perfect sense, and especially with people like you, Thomas Z., Dali Zheng, Phong Chang, m_o_n_k_e_y, and a few other people that are really good (and, consequentially on my My Favorite Builders List) with making mecha, it makes only even more sense to make this into an actual LEGO Design by Me custom set and then discuss this with some other MOC Pages memebers that are actual LEGO Master Builders or LEGO Employees and then to get the rights from the various people that make the anime, manga, and video game franchises of Gundam and to use that Google translation thingy to write e-mail messages to the people that are in charge of the copyright issues (and, hopfully, a lot of yen to pay for said copyrights to make it in LEGO form, too). this would not only be a huge LEGO theme here and in the EU but it would also be a mega huge thing in Japan and worldwide were it to become a reality.
Again, I say thanks for the support, and for the ideas on how to get the ball rolling on this, but I think that you guys are forgetting one crucial thing: Mega Bloks has already made gundam lego. I think that Bandai and them already have an arrangement, meaning that Lego will never have a gundam line, any more than it will ever have a halo line. Its unfortunate, but thats how it is. http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?rel=redirect&Dis=-2&ei=1308674396 |

I will definitely be making the 00 Raiser, or trying to anyways--The challenge will be in making an 0 Raiser that is to scale with the gundam while still being capable of transforming, AND fitting a minifig inside (because it just isn't one of my builds unless it fits a minifig). The minifig will have to lie down inside, most likely (or I'll use the little kid legs-hahahaha). |

Have you ever thought of sending these to the Lego Corp? Or the guys who make the model kits? You could make serious money off these look into it.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, man. No I hadn't thought of it before. Although--this model kit just by itself is over 1000 pieces. I doubt it would be economical to try and make kit for sale with that kind of piece count. Of course, with all the weapons and everything, the piece count skyrockets pretty rapidly. But thanks for the idea. I'll release the instructions once it is done and people can try it out for themselves. |

It's coming along really nicely. A little advise tough, I think you should change the golden horns on the head for a longer piece and make the white ones shorter, on the original model the gold one is longer then the white horns. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2509/3854588655_de6b16857e_o.jpg
And also, I think that the white 1x2 plate holder and stick is not needed on the lower legs. But despite these things as a model of 00 Gundam it's really impressive and accurate. Can't wait for the finished product!
I'll fiddle with the v-fins, though I don't know what other piece to use in place of the ones I am already using. As for the legs, they are pretty much finalized. I'm not sure what holder and stick you are referring to, but if you mean the flaps at the bottoms of the legs, they give some much needed shape to the legs. Without them, it becomes painfully obvious that it is just a block at the end of the legs.
