The Burrow
Home of the Weasley family from Harry Potter.
About this creation
I've got inspired to build this MOC after I've got 4840 The Burrow LEGO set for Christmas from my friend Marin Stipkovic. I was challenged by the Burrow's crooked shapes, and different materials used on the building. I wanted to build it like it was in the movies. I've built it over the last couple of weeks taking lots of hours from my spare time. It is placed on a roundish base measuring 84 x 84 studs. It's height is about 65 centimeters, or more than 2 feet.

As Harry Potter said in the books - "This is the best house I've ever been in.", this was definitely the most fun house for me to build out of LEGO so far. I tried to make it as crooked as I could and use as many different colors and types of bricks for it's materials, windows and roofs. The tower is actually leaning to the right and is pretty fragile - just like the "real"thing. :)

I was never good at cars, but it wouldn't be complete without the blue Ford Anglia by it's side so I gave it a try. I hope you like it!

Brilliant, and gratz on MOtD! I was originally impressed by little details like the 'docked' Weasley Family Car, then the latter pics showed that even it was highly detailed. Even though I know this Build would have to be a LARGE one, it wasn't until seeing the Car's individual shots that I began to appreciate the Scale. GREAT work!

This MOC has great texture and the feel of a real building, I particularly like the ground floor roof; the use of the round bricks for hip tiles is inspired. In a way, it's a shame the Minifigs give it away that it is Lego. A bazzillion out of five from me.

Well done Matija! You have really captured the look of The Burrow and I really like the plate work to get the "woodgrain" look on the outside. The shape is spot-on and I like the redux of the Anglia. Well done!

What could I say? This is the most accurate LEGO rendition of the Burrow I have ever seen. It looks fragile, twisted and it's beautiful. SNOT work is more than lovely. I have never imagined someone will build the walls of something with that techniques. It's usually used for floors, but this is the first time I see it used as wall. Chimney looks perfect. And finnaly, there's the car. I think it's really acuratte and I admire your collection and the way you use it. Thumbs up!
