Spanish Treasure Galleon- Santa Magdalena
sailing ship this time- 16th/17th century spanish galleon- filled with gold and valuables.... favorite prey of pirates and privateers
About this creation

stern defense cannons

I really like this lanterndesign myself....

Captain and treasures- new crown for a king and all- still captain looks angry.... XD don't ask why, I just wanted to use that head, but impression is bit odd.....

passengers aboard the Magdalena- Bishop and behind him a monk- LOL looks like this time someone expects Spanish Inquisition XD

these guys offer music- with some kind of guitar/mandola and maracas..... i hope lego makes guitar- they did electric guitar now but LOL cannot use it for this XD

deck without figures

captain's cabin revealed- three cannos there too- at those days ships really were quite small so they had to stuff cannons everywhere to make ship powerful

odd stuff on cap'n's table- crystal skull XD

full wine bottles in a shelf- one is on the table :P

cannon deck- also a little capstan....

staircase to lower deck

Guy steering a ship- no helmwheel or tiller used in old galleons

the lowest deck with cargo (gold) and pig XD

cook is making food in a big pot....he is peeling potatoes from Peru :P

Wow, again, Kandossi! You did a grat job! Have you ever thought about being a lego desighner? Cause you would make lego so much better than it is now! And if you do, maybe you will see me!!

Welldone! The bow seems a little empty though. If you can, try and add a triangular foresail to spice it up a bit.

Awesome creation! btw, if you need a lego acoustic guitar or any lego instrument go to brickforge.com, 'cause they've got awesome custom lego stuff.

This is a very nice galleon, to be honest, it is very true to lego style (very bricky) I love it. I have been working on a galleon for over a year now, it is nearling completion.

Quoting Ben King Never mind, I guess you're right, and I'm wrong. galleons are quite tall, if you don't have enough hull pieces perhaps you could try doing a brick hull (assuming you have have the pieces) if not it still looks incredibly like that galleon picture.... I changed my rating to 5/5, nice work swash! I take what I said back in the last comment this is very cool!
critisism is always ok though- brickhulls are harder but i decided to do galleon just because those hull parts are good for shorter and taller galleons....

Quoting Ben King but It looks a like you just changed the colors of the flying dutchman, also I personally think a ship as tall as that should be a bit longer, because it looks a little awkward. But if that is how galleons looked than I am wrong....
uh if you mean my FD-model this is totally different kind of ship while both are galleons - and galleons look like this http://www.uslat.org/Images/Galleon-spanish.jpg also i don't have enough ship's hull parts for much longer ship at the moment.....

Hey Swash! It's been a while! I've recently decided to be more active again with Legos! If you can, can you come to my page and leave a comment on my new "creation" as far as tips and stuff go? I seem to have lost my creative swagger, and I'm hoping that some old friends can help me out! Thanks! As far as the Ship goes, I'm awe-struck. I knew you were always great with building ships, but I never could have guessed your skill would lead up this! 5/5 my man, keep it up!

Quoting Sebeus I I don't really see a difference, that "rudderhelm" you're talking about looks a lot like a lever, similar to the difinition of tiller, what exactlly is the difference then ? (btw, I wouldn't really call this a small galleon)
I'll continue this in Kings of the Sea :P i know i'm right but i'm not quite sure how to say it- this is not tiller while it is lever but anyway..... and this is quite a big galleon yes...

Quoting Sebeus I Very nice, the color scheme reminds me of Bonaparte's Spanish Galleon, I think it looks too heavy for using a tiller though. But it sure looks nice. I like the dark orange.dark tan (can't see the difference very well) you infused, good job, be sure to add it to Kings of the Sea
Few facts for you Sebeus: That's not tiller- tiller is lever to move the rudder this is rudderhelm with no tiller and no wheel because during the time of old galleons this was only way to steer a ship- tiller became common during 17th and wheel as late as 18th century- i studied real galleons and even the heaviest ones are steered like this because it was the oldfashioned way to do it :P
