Speeding into a trap
I have been wanting to make one of these for some time. After seeing so many great custom speederbikes, I realized that I wanted to make one that looked just as good without a rider, as it did with a rider. And I think I was able to accomplish just that.
About this creation
I want to thank Lucas and Legohaulic for the inspiration and some of the building ideas I used on mine.

I know this scene has probably been done before, but it was the first one I thought of when I decided to build a vignette to showcase my speederbike.

An initial tease to show how I got my Biker Scout to straddle the bike.

A better look at my custom Biker Scout. I don't believe this has been done before, at least not at the time this was posted. I replaced the hips with a 1x2 Hinge Top Plate and the legs with a 1x1 Tile with Clip and a 1x1 Headlight Brick. This allowed me to have the minifig straddle a 1x brick.

And here is the speederbike by itself. I am very pleased at how this looks just sitting there by itself. And absolutely no changes need to be made to accommodate the Biker Scout. And even better, it is 100% purist with no modified pieces at all.

I really like how the side slope pieces make the back look very movie accurate.

And here is something I have yet to see on any other custom, the ability to hold two riders. And still no changes need to be made to the bike. This is the scene where Luke jumps on the back and is about to throw the Biker Scout off.

A better look showing the same technique used on Luke to get him to straddle the bike. (I'm surprised Phipson hasn't commented about this pic yet.)

Overall, I was so happy with how this turned out that I made a second. And the pieces used are common enough that I will probably make more to go with my Bunker set and not use any of the official ones that I've accumulated over the years.

The design of this is wonderful. It is impressive that you managed to make it look good with or without a rider. The only problem is that you must change the legs of the minifigures, but I don't think that can be helped.

I really like the use of the droid arms for the foot rests! The technique for the legs is also really cool! I just finished V2 of mine and should have it posted tomorrow if you want to check it out. I have a scout trooper riding it now too!

Thanks I actually was able to build it from just 3 photos. But I looked at everything else to try to figure out how you did the bottom gun. It wouldnt mount any way I tried. So I looked at the links and figured it out. But I am currently trying to find a better way to mount the rider. I dont like the leg design all that much. I am thinking of using hands and sticks. I'll tell you about it if I ever do it. Hahahaha.

Quoting T. Young Ok this might sound a little stupid but may I Completely copy your bike. I think it is the best I have ever seen in a minifig scale. I would give you credit if I ever posted it. I couldnt give you half credit like I did on my Snowspeeder because I see NOWHERE on here to fix. So full credit if I ever use it???
Doesn't sound stupid at all and I appreciate that you think it's the best (I think so too but I'm biased). I would be happy if you wanted to build one for yourself. "Imitation is the highest form of flattery..." so the saying goes.

I don't know enough to comment on the originality, but both the speeder and straddling technique work quite well.

VERY nice work, Tim! The look of the bike is spot-on and definately better than anything Lego has done so far. I really like the straddling techique you used too (shut it, Phipson!) I don't think I've seen that done before. Can't wait to see this as POTHM:)
