I happened to be reading a bunch of Lego stuff (just found out about LotR) and BioShock and saw this. Absolutely amazing. As someone else said, I could point out inaccuracies, but inaccuracy doesn't mean flaw at all. And that isn't the point, you took the world of Rapture and made it into your own thing, and if you think about it that's just what Andrew Ryan would want. Amazing work, and if you add more too it I would love to see pictures. Thanks. I appreciate the thoughtful comments. Also, I was thinking of adding on to it, or tackling Columbia with Bioshock Infinite comes out. :)

As a long time player of Bioshock and big fan of it, I could point out a lot of flaws and mistakes. But the reason I won't is because this was made out of Lego. For Lego standards, this is amazing. And even though I could point out a lot of negatives, this is still amazing full stop. Well done and good job! Thanks. And as the builder, I could most certainly point out what I could do better or differently. I had to call it a day somewhere, so this is what I had on the day I was done. :)

I am in love with Rapture, and this takes every cake ever baked. There is not enough WIN in the world for this. We have used up all of our WIN by you creating such a freaking lovely gorgeous build. Please congratulate yourself, you have done a fantastic job. I LOVE THIS. The lighting really seals the deal, doesn't it? THe night shots really bring it to life, and just wake it up. Just gorgeous, seriously, pat yourself on the back. :-)

If you do make a Bioshock Infinite, that'll certainly be a treat! That flying Big Daddy (or what I call "Big Baddie") is going to be epic.
Btw, how in the world did you get almost 40,000 views?!
I don't even want to think about it yet. Plus, Infinite hasn't even come out yet! Can't wait to check it out. As for the views... I have NO idea! I'm just as astounded as everyone else. |

Wow wow wow! This creation is particularly awesome! Since I played this great game, I found you perfectly reproduced Rapture City, and the first scene of the game!
I espescially love the transparent tunnels, and the undersea wildlife!
Congratulation, it gives me great ideas for the submarine secret basis I planned to build for my big submarine. I didn't have any idea how the lighting from the "water ceiling" would work until I lit it up the first time. I have both blue and green LEDs in there to give it that eerie underwater glow. It turned out way better than I thought it would being it was my first time using LifeLites. I would definitely recommend them. The glass tunnels are part of my favorite things about this MOC too. Thanks! |

Love the detail and the feeling of depth. I can't imagine how long this must have taken, from design to building. Great work!
I should probably answer that since I didn't post it in the intro for this MOC. I thought about it for a bit, messed around with making the Big Daddy and once I had that made how I liked then I worked on the tower and my idea for the "water ceiling" I didn't even have any lights yet. I had two months to build it, but spent about 3 weeks playing Bioshock to figure out what rooms, buildings, etc.. So all total, the build time was about one month. |
