The Seige of Tsingtao(now Qingdao)in China during World War I was fought between Imperial Japan and the British Empire against the German Empire.
About this creation
The British viewed the German colony of Tsingtao a threat to British intrests in the region and with the start of World War I attacked it with their Japanese allies. The Germans were vastly outnembered having only the German garrison and Chinese colonial troops and Austro-Hungarian sailors along with a modest amount of ships.
The Siege lasted from 31 October 1914 – 7 November 1914 and all German ships were scuttled by it's end. However the Germans were able to hold out under total British-Japanese blockade, sustained artillary barrages and manpower odds of 6:1 for two months giving Germans a morale boost both during the siege and in even in defeat.
