About this creation
Thanks to Parrington Levens and his GAIA theme for the inspiration.

The 'Javelin' starfighter is a light, versatile American vessel that is cheap and easy to produce, yet packs a punch. After all, we Americans like two things: money and explosions.

The maneuvering engines double as missile pods. Very useful in a dogfight.

Twin particle cannons on the nose of the craft also aid in taking out enemy fighters. 'Javelins' excel at fighter defense due to their weaponry, maneuverability, and size. A medium-sized vessel can carry hundreds of these craft in their hangar bay.

Three thrusters for getting places quickly and turning around even more quickly when things go wrong.

Being a short-range fighter, the cockpit has no need for leg room, or even its own atmosphere. The pilot is given four hours of oxygen and minimal survival gear.

Cockpit open.

Comfy, no?

The real prize, however, is the 'Javelin's assault payload.

Two "Habenero's Revenge" Thruster Buster warheads. These extremely volatile and experimental weapons are specifically designed to destroy a cruiser's engine room by entering the thruster ports and detonating. As the 'Javelin' pilots say, "It burns coming in, and it burns going out."

There you have it, my first fighter in ages. Go easy on me, if there are two things I'm bad at, it's building in multiple themes at the same time, and building starfighters. To all the AFOLs that are reading this, there is still hope! I will grow up again one day, and start building sci-fi instead of cartoons. Bear with me, people. :)
Thanks for viewing, and long live GAIA!

Impressive! I really like the cockpit, and the payload bay's a nice touch. I also like the general shape and colouration. Great work! |

A nifty fighter you have here. Parrington already provided the expert, in depth review, so I'll leave it with him. I haven't been around to get lulled into the coma, but thanks for thinking of us.
Yeah, now it's your turn to build something new, before I get lulled into a coma! ;p |

Cody, don't be so hard on yourself with your starfighter! Connor simpson, Aidan Bryant, and Parrington Levens pretty much said what I would have said to you about this starfighter and, truth be told, I kind of second the opinion of Parrington on this being the stepping stone or turning point of you becoming a serious Lego Space MOC builder. If you look on My Favorite Builders, then you'll see some more people to look to when you build your MOCs. I'd build more MOCs myself if I wasn't working 40 hours a week at a grocery store, had Internet access of my own, a webcam, more LEGO, another laptop, and some nice lights to make for a decent background to the MOCs. |

haha, you ripper! Thanx for flying the AM-Space flag buddy. It's funny, I was flicking through and saw Am-Space and thought when did i? Hang on! Not mine! Woohooo! lol, thanks for making my day mate, I love the playability, and superb complexity around the cocpit, and that you have incorparated that GAIA reverse slope towards the windshield, cool. Yes, the design is rough around the edges, but like you say, its an economicly minded construct, and by the looks of it, a stepping stone to an absolute beast to come? Well, I can hope, you may have guessed, but fighters are my favorite genre. Cheers Cody!!! Long live GAIA? So say we all, lol...
A beast to come? Sure, why not? Haha this comment reminds me of the movie Pulp Fiction, when that girl is injected with adrenaline. Hehehe ;) |

Thanks, Ced! I still think that Mecha are my strong suit for Sci-Fi. Now that summer is here, I'll do my best to make a variety of MOCs. Stay tuned! |

Pretty simple compared to what I'm used to seeing from you, but it works. I like the windshield orientation, I don't own the part myself but I've messed with it in LDD on some Mechs and things. |

Very nicely done. Not only is the build compact, yet comprehensive, I feel that you distilled the American corporate mind to an essence, and then drowned this fighter in it. Very nicely down. ^Blub^ |

As for the fighter itself, it's good snot techniques going on and a nice shape. Personally, I think the gun up front looks a little low down, but that's my opinion. |

Nice! Looks like a cross between a modern fighter jet and a starcraft. So it looks like something possibly from the near future. Although one thing that bugged me about it is that you used that huge long one piece slant on the front. |
