The Emperor’s finest, at your service.
About this creation
(For some reason or another I decided on an entirely long and unorthodox back story for this mech, so you can skip it of you’d like. If you do read it and there are any inconsistencies with the project AEGAKS storyline, please let me know and I will modify it. I’m typing this up at 2 in the morning so there’s bound to be a few holes in the story.)
The AEGAKS Imperial Mecha 9900 series “Demigog” is the newest piece of battlefield hardware to be fielded by the newly formed North American Empire. The invasion of the robots would see the fall of democracy, but the birth of a powerful new war machine. Under the command of Emperor William Kennedy, the secrets hidden in the infamous area 51 were finally revealed when the Crimson Legion assaulted the base during the winter of 2049. What they discovered was a treasure trove of reverse engineered Alien technology that not even the machines could match. The scientists at the facility had mastered the control of plasma, matter’s 4th and most powerful physical state. Under the order of Emperor Kennedy, a secret project was to begin development immediately on a new machine of war - the Demigog.
William Kennedy had managed to overthrow the American government by a weapons contract he had made with the Sentai on their newly developed AEGAKS weapons. After the first few “Metal Mountains” had arisen in the western United States around the Rockies, the U.S. Government was offered a contract for these new weapons, but deemed them too expensive to field and rejected the offer. America had enjoyed a very long period of peace, and all her military machines had long been obsolete. America was not prepared for this new menis, and this very soon became apparent.
Congress left over ⅔ of the country to fight for itself while it’s armies defended the east coast and the capitol. William Kennedy, who at the time was at the time a Leutenant in the Army, went AWOL and began marching his platoon west, having had enough of congress’s indecisiveness. His newly formed army, dubbed the Crimson Legion, was one of 5 legions he raised from volunteer citizens and a few other remote military groups who decided to join him and take the fight to the robots.
After 2 long and bloody years, Kennedy had driven back the robots almost all the way to their Metal Mountains, and conquered the useless American Govornment. He had proven the brutal effectiveness of the new AEGAKS system, just as the Sentai had in the Eastern Hemisphere.
The year is now 2052, and the robots are once again on the offensive. Their ability to advance and adapt in such a short time has driven Kennedy’s Legions back. The Demigog was designed to put the robots back in their place. With it’s incredible unworldly technology, no one is for shore the true power it holds. Having some of it’s parts made from special material not normally found on our planet, Only 5 demigogs were produced, 1 for each legion. The commanding general of each legion will be receiving one of these incredible machines, the first of which being the infamous Crimson Legion.
Now then- on to the mech!

The Demigog has a very sleek shape designed for deflecting projectiles, and with a thin layer of energy screens on the surface of the armor plating, it can deflect most energy weapons as well.
It’s experimental plasma energy core allows it to support the power output of 2 nuclear fusion reactors of comparible size. This means it can support an entirely energy-based weapons loadout.

However energy weapons aren’t always the better choice. General Paterson of the Crimson Legion prefers good ol’ hand cannons and LRM racks.

The Demigog will be the first to fieldtest the new solid state plasma blades, which can cut through even compressed diamond armor as if it were nothing more than butter. And being that it’s not laser-based, energy screens won’t make much of a difference either.

And if them dang robots decide to bring out a few titan-class drones, the Demigog can mount the Fortress Buster Lascannon, which fires a 200gigawatt blast of charged particles. Technically the Demigog can mount 4 of these puppies, but it’s not suggested due to weight constraints and lack of versatility for the loadout.

The plasma core of the Demigog can generate enough power to propel it through the air at speeds of up to mock 3 and well into orbit. Seen here are the new PLR-45 Precision Laser Rifles, powerful beam weapons designed for sniping. With a 25X zoom scope, the Demigog can hit targets well over 3 miles away. Again these weapons can be mounted to the rist hardpoints or the shoulders.

Here is general Paterson next to his Demigog for size comparison. The Demigog uses an advanced new transparasteel that acts as a 1 way mirror, making it much harder for those dirty robots to snipe our Generals. Not that they’d get the chance anyway.

Like all AEGAKS, the pilot block can separate to save the pilot. The Demigog’s pilot block has 2 plasma thrusters on the chin that it uses to shoot the pilot into the air and away from the mech, because when that plasma core goes, well lets just say I hope you stayed home sick today. The core does not eject from the machine for a reason- if a pilot is ever forced to eject, the core is set to self destruct to prevent the robots from getting a hold of one of the mechs and reverse engineering it.

Designer’s Notes: Pardon the ridiculous back story, i wanted to try something original and a bit out on the limb so to speak. I want to thank my friend Andrew for showing me that Photoshop is overrated and gimp is where its at. This is my first time using the program, sorry if the jet and laser effects are a bit crummy. I want to make a shoutout to Rabid Goldfish, creator of AEGAKS as far as I know. Exoforce was a great series that never lived up to it’s potential and my friend you are doing a fine job of changing that. I hope to continue with my Crimson Legion theme and again if there are any inconsistencies with my story and Project AEGAKS please point them out I will make amends. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!

oh woooow... definitely one of your best Mechs, despite its relatively small size (in comparison to Mechs like the MBSs and the Titan). this is probably gonna be one of my favorites of your Mechs, right after the Taurus Mechs and the Grey Wolf. the only problem I can see with it is those oversized cannons. the parts connecting to them are a bit thin for it. other than that, it's incredible! hmm, I might try making something like this... |

Wow... That is some awesome-mecha-sauce. Only thing I suggest changing is the name - it's spelled "demagogue." |

have to agree with the previous comments - I love the colour scheme. nice design, very nice studless frame. It looks quite simple to build yet I imagine there are some very clever techniques going on.
The leg design is excellent, I may try to create something on a similar scale. |

Congratulations! I am very impressed with the thought, foresight, and effort put into this. I would be honored if you would like to add this to my storyline. Be sure to join the group and we'll get it sorted into the story! Fantastic work with the overall design, and good color choice. ^Blub^
Thanks! It's an honor to be invited into your awesome group bro thanks. I'll look over your creations a little better over the next few days so i can get my timeline right for my side story. I think I'll make one of those Titan-class drones I mentioned in the description next! |

It's time like these that I wish I could vote higher than 5. This mech is just amazingly well done and aside from a couple of typos the story is excellent as well. The only thinkg I don't like about it is the biceps, they dont have any armour at all but looking at the way the forearms are built I can see why. Still, it's a weakness your enemies are sure to exploit.
Thanks for takin a look bro! this was inspired a bit by your ghost raptor, awesome creation by the way. About the biceps, I wasn't fully happy with them myself, but it really came down to a choice between aesthetics and posability, and I decided I wanted a bit more posability. And thank you everyone who came to take a look at this, this is my first semi popular creation so this is a big step for me on MOCpages! I appreciate everyone's feedback! |

Man, I'm diggin' those effects! What program did you us- Oh that's why it looked familiar! LOL, great work, I'll be sure to try some gimp effects in mocs to come.
EDIT: Oh, and awesome mech also! |

HAHA! Looks like you beat me to the punch on that cockpit. Though the one I built is longer. Maybe your Demigog and mine could duke it out on the battlefield.
One question, is your spin-off relative to space AEGAKS as well? If so, I think the Demigog could fit into the "New Frontier" sidestory I started. the EPB does kinda look like armored variant of my Space Pilot Block, but oh well. Great Job. I hope that one day, this will be built with real bricks! |

As an AEGAKS enthusiast I must say this unit is incredible. Spinoffs are very well acceptable, I did something like this before ( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/254839). Of course, you should visit Jason's page to consult the AEGAKS timeline in order to match the timelines. About the mech, I loved every piece of it, the feet are gourgeous, the weapons are massive, the thrusters are pretty cool and the cockpit idea is very innovative. Let's wait what Jason will say about it, but it's a winner! |

Man, you really outdid yourself this time with this moc! It looks really cool, I love the color scheme and the poses. It doesn't feel like lego at all, but thats not a bad thing! The weaponry is also extremely well made. What did you use for the additional effects? Great work, and keep it up!
glad u like it! I used gimp for the effects, mostly just the airbrush and smudge tools. I'll play around with the different tools more on my next MOC hopefully. |
