I really wanted to give my Garrison unit a weapon they could handle. the desert skies over the Mojave are secured. Some inpirations: Halo Reach, USAF, Ace Combat 4 (ps2 Yeah I'm Old school), COD Black ops. I like the multi function ability that it has.

About this creation

The SF-86 Archangel is one of the fastest VTOLs’ The Mojave Viper Garrison unit has to offer. It provides a close air support for ground troops when needed. Used to take out fortified forward targets, It can deploy a number amount of ordinance.

Starting with two “ T-777 Bunker Buster Incendiaries.” Also “Four Tactical Warheads” to end the party. The missiles are deployed through a sliding hatch on the rear top side. When the pilot has selected the ordinance to be used, the turret rotates into position and the missile is fired.

The Aircrafts’ main gun is a pulsating Electromagnetic Charged Particle Cannon. It has two to be exact. The guns are used mainly in aerial battles. They are effective against all Electrical systems as well. Pretty much a couple hits from these babies and they’ll fry your ships electronics internally sending the opponent to the grave.

. The Engines that power the beast are composed of two different parts. The Main Thruster is a “ T-type 54G1Y ” gibberish for a really fast engine. Its unique counterparts play a key role as well. Two Standard J16 Thrusters fixed on a pivot to Allow VTOL and hover while providing close air support.

The wings retract for several reasons. When they are out it allows the craft to become more maneuverable but looses speed. When they are retracted in the craft gains tremendous amounts of speed but looses mobility. The two combined can create a deadly duo.

The landing gear comes down in three places. Two in the Mid rear section and one in the middle. Everything rtracts back into its original place.

Quoting ccy 8086 Very nice design! I love the reverse wing and you make it swing-able is even more great! Also the missile bay is very cool (can the cover open or it need to be remove?). I like ace combat too and I also build a Falken (http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/250089) which you might want to have a look~

Thank you so much, The missile bay door slides using 1x2 slide piece with the 1x4 adaptor piece. In total I used 8' 1x4 adaptors with 2 1x2 slide piece. It actually slides really nice and gives it a hidden look.

Anything with an internalized rotary launcher and EMP cannons to take out electronics and avionics is a win in my book. Sweet!

Nicely done. But I would recommend trimming it down a bit. It seems kind of bulky, and that's typically not desired for an aircraft. But that's just my opinion. The engines look very interesting, and I like that internal missile bay. ^Blub^
