Clonetard City: Turn Eighteen
Continued, and not late either. By much. Relatively speaking. I think. I might have skipped a week, I'm not sure.
About this creation


So: the Banshee: does minor turret damage, rips off the last of the Cheetah's side armour, and damages a wheel, slowing it down some more.

Finn's Caracal SE: amputates ThunderTOD's left arm and takes his left torso armour with it.

The Invader infantry: damage Deus's arm, rip deep into his center torso, almost completely destroy the delicate and extremely expensive gyro assembly, before almost totalling the engine. The result: free radiation burns for all, including Deus, who has little recourse but to hop out and surrender.



Oh, and the Chimera pilot ejects, and lands safely.

Because A: an ejected pilot trying to start something would likely have a lifespan measured in nanoseconds, B: by the time they eject they're already badly wounded, and C: it takes a whole squad concentrating their rifle fire to deal noticeable damage. One wounded guy with no anti-shrapnel armour and few if any spare reloads =/= useful combat asset, so there's no point keeping track of it.

When mecha engines are damaged badly enough, they shut down automatically. They don't explode unless heavily modified for the task, and when I say heavily modified, I mean the A-team couldn't do it unless one of their members turned out to have a degree in making improvised nuclear bombs.
