Sean built a 57,000 piece LEGO sculpture of Chase's logo, standing six foot four inches (6'4") tall and weighing over 400 pounds.
About this creation
Sean was commissioned by JPMorgan Chase to build a LEGO model as an attraction for home builders at a builder conference in February 2007.

After 57,000 LEGO bricks and 310 hours of building, Sean completed the logo at the 2007 International Builders Show (IBS) in Orlando, Florida.

The Chase logo proved an interesting shape to build as a freestanding LEGO sculpture. Since the logo is comprised of four disconnected "wedges", Sean had to devise a way to make them seemingly float in space, while still remaning sturdily attached and safe.

Passers-by stopped to chat with Sean as he completed the immense piece. Some stood agog, mouths dropped, while others simply laughed and shook their heads at Sean's callused thumbs. All of the children passing by were super excited and had plenty of questions for Sean. (He even let a few of them past the velvet ropes for a close-up look at all the cool little details.)

The show attracted over 120,000 people and Sean's LEGO sculpture created "a ton of great buzz" for the Chase booth. The completed logo will tour the country and appear at several other conventions during 2007.

Since the giant LEGO model was used to illustrate Chase's mortgage and builder development offerings, a LEGO city was built inside the center of the Chase logo, depicting suburban and urban home and condo development. See 15 more pictures of the suburban LEGO town.

Most people don't realize how much engineering a LEGO sculpture of this size requires!

Sean? Even though I am alot younger than you, and if I had that many LEGOs, I could do it! I have a request for you. I want you to make a life-size sculpture. You need blue, light blue, dark blue, black, white, brown, yellow, and red. I want you to make Krystal from Starfox. She is 5' 8" and it would be better if you did her in her Adventures outfit. (for the guys) She also uses a staff that is 6' and it lights up in the blue parts on it. Look up of pictures of her from Starfos Adventures for the Gamecube. It will be THE GREATEST Nintendo creation ever! Please reply to this. |

very nice and very cool! but excuse me, mr.Sean. me and a few other members, J burn started a community forum where MOC members interact, and we were wondering if it could be the official forum because we thought MOC pages needed some other way to communicate other than reviews and e-mail. so please review one of my things with the answer. and also check out the forums for yourself. of course you would be an admin if you wanted to keep it alive as the "official" forum |

Very impressive. I would like to thank you Sean, for creating MOC pages and making a place where old and young at heart can create such amazing creations as this, and share them with all Lego fans. Thank you,
Ben Walters |
