Spitfire
The RAF fighter made iconic by the campaign named Battle of Britain.
About this creation

Itīs a fast design as I have based it on my Messerschmitt Bf 109. Itīs literally just a couple o bricks apart. So this MOC follows the same rules and has the same nifty deatils, (or lack of details)as the Messerschmitt Bf 109 design.
In real life the planes are almost identical. So I thought "hey why not".
I think it came out well anyway.

The initial MOC design was made to be used as background in the Heinkel He 111 posting, I have later changed the colors.

Quoting Austin Jenkins Awesome planes! Im new to aircraft, can you either make one or help me design a P51 Mustang? Thanks! Again, epic designs
Thank you! There are some beautiful versions out there, where the shape is accomplished by going big. To me the real challenge is to make the right shape whilst staying in minifig size. It would be fun to make the mustang, but if you want some inspiration right away, some of the best ones I have seen: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/311321 or this WIP http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/344032

They are all nice! Especially the work on the wings sets it apart from the Messersmith. I like the one with green camo the best. You should try with dark green!

I like it! I used to build a few planes when I used to have my collection. Had a Triplane and a B-17. Lol... yes, the crash tests are fun. I once dropped a Sorosuub Yacht from a foot off the ground just to see if it held up. Either that or dogfighting with my brothers and their ships and managing to clip their ship with mine.

Quoting Scott Bertaut Great job, I love the spitfire, it is my Great job, I love the spitfire, it is my favorite airplane. This MOC is an excellent replica of it, good job. Would be nice if it wasn't LDD though, the blow-up button is nice but it isn't the same as holding it in your hand, ripping a wing off, making it spiral down to the carpet, and making a scene of it crashed spectacularly. LDD is great when you don't have enough parts in real brick though.
Youīre absolutely right. Back in the day I made crash tests with a tie fighter... (this was back when LEGO didnīt make them, so it was custom)...there were black and grey bricks all over the livingroom. Hmmmm it was bliss.
