Lava Tiger
Team M.B.A.'s entry to the 2011 Bio-Thon; Category: #15; Small Rahi...
About this creation
2011 Bio-Thon home page.

Lava Tigers are very rare beasts. Only 14 have been spotted on Rapa Nui in the last 100 years. A very solitary rahi, the Lava Tiger only meets with others of its kind when it is mating season. The large spike on it's head is meant to help it kill it's prey, which sometimes consists of unlucky matoran. They have a special third "finger" that is on their front feet that helps hat grasp the trees in which they call home. The "finger" also helps them take down their prey. The Lava Tiger actually doesn't live anywhere near lava. The carnivore gets its name from the distinct orange, sometimes red, coloring that it has. Very few of these creatures have been tamed, most of them eventually killing their masters. Galvis had tamed one when he was a matoran. When he became a toa, he let his Lava Tiger go into the Great Dark Forest of Rapa Nui.

Fighting his prey, who unfortunately happens to be Flink.

I don't think Flink can get out of this one...

Nice one. Looks good overal(more like a frog than a tiger, if you ask me), but there are some main problems that bug me: colors look good, but some really get in the way in some spots, like the light grey in the head and those reds in the feet. The other problem is the position of the limbs. They're kinda mixed up(the front limbs should bend more like the back legs, and the back shoudl bend mor elike the front ones, Actually, digitigrade legs for the back would be more natural). But, apart from those issues, its a good MOC. 3/5 Keep it up!
