Upgrade to 3D gaming with prejudice contest entry.
About this creation
Contest entry that I recently submitted. The object was to construct a pair of homemade 3d glasses. Whether they consider LEGO as homemade is anyone's guess, but I had to enter with my strongest talent. I also needed a deadline to get me back into the practice of building.
Sorry purists, the red lens isn't LEGO. I don't own any translucent red, so I cut the red lens that comes with the LEGO 3d glasses that the club magazine sends out regularly...Don't worry though, I'm not truely venturing to the dark side, I only did it for the contest for lack of a specific part.
Also made a nifty "Ced" logo which I'll probably start using more frequently.
Thanks for looking, hope to add more soon.

@Christophe Corthay. Christophe, who needs to be nice when you have friends that can build ships like you do?!? BAH, we all know your a nice guy also, otherwise you'd never comment on any of our stuff! Take it easy brother ... @Jay Rhum That IS the question, but the answer is....YES, if you line up the holes...so be prepared to walk into walls ... @Christophe Corthay. Sand Blue eh? I'd pay to see that, it also would be worth its weight in gold! ... @Seth Bryan. Thanks, it was a fun build ... @Zane Houston. Good question indeed! I haven't tried them, they are pretty uncomfortable. I will say you can see red and blue through the eye holes if you line up the pins...they work better in a fantasy setting. |

@A minute ago ... Woot!! Now that's a compliment!...
@Jaochim Ko. Why doesn't anyone like me!?!? Haha, I'm actually pretty comfortable with the amount of recognition I get from the community, if anything I may get too much compared to others I've seen. But I appreciate your stopping by and your sympathy....
@The Builder. Hee Hee, that's how I looked at it too, thanks!...
@Mattthebackwardone. Daddy needs a new 3-d monitor!...
@Mr. Lego. Thanks dude, that's where this project all began. I love when your sitting at the table where 2 pieces just "jump out" at you, and they fit perfectly....
@Gerfy Legorider. That they are, as long as you take of the cones that fit the eye sockets. Thanks for stopping in!...
@Cody G. Heh heh, yes please! My problem is I get hooked on Xbox achievement score, and then I wake up 2 months later!! Thanks Bro....
@JS Can. Thank you sir....
@Berial. Glad you like em' dude, thanks for checking them out....
@Riccardo Zangelmi. Thanks Bro! Your work continues to set the bar, I need to head over and leave some overdue comments! Forgive me!?...
@Paul Romano. Awesome! I'm glad to hear that from a purist, I didnt want to step on any toes. Thanks for stopping in....
@Shawn Purkis. I was thinking about sugar coating this for myself, but the short and easy answer is no. With some modifications to how much you can see, I would say the 3D theory is sound though....
@El Barto. A Steampunk Borg!?! That would be Suh-weet! Too Sweet, I think the worlds would collide!...
@Callsign Justice. Why Thank you sir! You changed your name again, I almost didn't recognize you! |

I'd call it pure, because the red lens was made by LEGO, so it's still LEGO...right? |

Very cool and original! As a purist, I don't see any problems using non-LEGO elements in a non-LEGO contest, so you shouldn't apologize at all! And hey! Since you got the transluscent paper film from the LEGO Magazine, in a weird sorta way, it really isn't non-LEGO at all! Great job, and I hope you do/did well in the contest! |

I think the purists would cut you some slack on the lens, after all it's from Lego. These look great, Dude! Very intricate. But makes me think of a Steampunk Borg! Got a new episode,if you get a chance...Later! |
