Africa/GAIA 'Lion-cub' Mk-4
Welcome to glorious empire of Ethiopia, who whence exploring space during humanity's original diaspora, dared venture askew of our solar systems eliptical plane. Lucking on to near and rich worlds, the Ethiopians enjoyed a great head start in the age of space exploration and colonisation, and to this day remain one of Earth's most vibrant and successful civilisations.
About this creation
The kingdom of the lion, Ethiopia controls 23 planets and makes the bulk of the African unions power base. Though leaving GAIA to join 'Africa' in the second alien war, Ethipion peoples soon complained that they had far more in common in with their GAIA counterparts and soon rejoined GAIA as the 3rd alien war broke out. The Lio-cub was their mainstay fighter...

Long live GAIA!

hehe, cheers, love the colour as well, of both birds! Yes, color for an American as yourself, and colour for a British colonial such as myself, such fun the English language... yes, yes, we are a Federation these days, but I am a bit of a Monarchist, God save the Queen!

Quoting Jesse Long Personally, I prefer calling it the "Lionfang" myself since it looks a little like a fang of some beast like a lion (or it could be because I like cats). Anyway, it's a nice and solid fighter and I love seeing your work, Parrington. Keep it up, man.
also a good name, probably a better one, why not make that baby yourself mate? Cheers dude...

(don't answer in Greek, I actually could not read that previous one, and the online translators mysteriously balked.)

Quoting Jeff McElwee Never could I think that a bright yellow space fighter would look moderately interesting and appealing. I have been wrong before, and shall continue to do so. The open cockpit is what I find the most interesting, very simple very cool. I mean who wouldn't wear a space suit while in space anyway! Very sharp.
cheers champ, yeh, it's a color that takes alot of keeness to work in...

Quoting Aidan Bryant Neat fighter man, although I am a little disappointed with the engine/back. Still, an open cockpit is an interesting idea. Btw, you missed the "n" in the last lion-cub.
thanx mate, yeh in terms of the openess, I just asume that that piece has an inferred pair of side glass panels. I wish such a part existed, cos I hate to always use a 4 wide canopy, cos it always makes the fighter need to be wider. With the piece I used, I got away with the two wide nose section which I always wanted to do... And the engines, sure they're simple, but I just liked the idea that they were alittle different to cones or other such appendages, perhaps a futuristic look? Cheers for looking buddy...

Quoting Rabid Goldfish Neat little snub-fighter. Definitely a carrier-based model, given the size, you could fit quite of few of them on one. I bet they would be deadly in a swarm. ^Blub^
Thanx mate, yeh, I built this in mind of being able to build cool hanger Mocs down the road. This thing actually fits very easily on to the back of a Legoland truck trailer, and I just love the town scaled opportunities this scale of fighter allows. That said, the traditionally larger fighters of our collective GAIA arsenal would blow this out of the sky, but as you say, this baby is all about swarming! Cheers buddy. Oh, and I was thinking of asking you guys if you wanted to try a collaborative sci-fi Anthology based on the GAIA verse, where everybody writes their own story, with only mild rules as to the continium and background etc. If we could get 10 of us into it, and write a shortstory each, we coiuld compile a really cool anthology/novel. Getting published is always hard, but there is always a way. Just an idea I have floating around, if any of you guys are interested?
