The Imperial version of the Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V wing starfighter. After purchasing the Lego version of this a while back, I came to the conclusion that as cool as this fighter is, It needs to be built bigger and better. So, here she is! I wanted to stay as close to minifig scale as possible but this may be a little on the bigger side. Overall though, The build came out really well besides the fact I knocked it off the table when I first went to photograph it and it exploded. After a quick rebuild I finally finished this project. Enjoy.

Great improvement on the V-Wing. I have this set as well, and although I liked it, it still felt like it was missing some body. You filled that in on your version. Excellent job. |

When I got my Lego V-wing I thought someone should make a scaled version that could fit an astromech , then i saw this. |

First let me say thanks for the favorite builders nod. After checking your stuff out, I easily returned the favor :-) also it is eerie how close our Lego life story is, I followed almost the same path except my dark age was much longer, but that fateful walk down the same kind of store isle is what pulled me back in! Anyway on to this v-wing... I have two of the Lego versions, like it, but love yours. This is what it should be. They were lazy with the Droid compartment amongst other things, but you did a great job beefing this little fighter into something respectable. Nice job! ~cheers and as always... Darkside FTW!! |

This is one of the most detailed V wings on the pages, also I'm happy to see more of your pics are back up! |

This is probably the best rendition of this ship I've seen. I specially like how the nose was built without using large, slanted parts. The cockpit also looks awesome and nicely detailed.
But I don't think it's too big at all. It's TLC's version that's a bit small. |

YES! Now THIS is what a V-Wing should look like. I love the shaping of the nose/underside and the fattened wings really add to the coolness of this vehicle. I think the only thing keeping it from true minifig scale is that it's a few studs too wide. I also love that you can actually fit a droid in it. Nice! |

Wat a beauty! I'm still wondering why TLC never use the slope technics as you do here. It looks so good.
5/5!
I think probably because they are mostly a nightmare to get right and stay on the ship. It didn't take long to get it right on this build but I probably had to replace the panels and rebuild the front from either falling off or breaking about 10 times! Not including knocking it off the table! haha. |

Okay how come lego doesn't make lego sets like this and they should be cheaper too because i have to go to places like Goodwill to get lego's it's not right for those who are good a building. But that is a awesome creation far better then lego's or anyone else's. |
