WARNING!!! Crispy fried Lego Alert
So I'm guessing this happened when I moved back to Vegas last summer. I packed a lot of my personal belongings in my truck with my Legos. The thing is I left at midnight-ish, And only saw maybe an hour of the sun before I got home. weird huh, or the desert heat is that intense! Only dark colors and white were effected, weird though WHITE? White usually is the best in the sun because it absorbs less heat. Well I'm baffled by this, I'm just gonna say the rest of my Legos survived the Rapture! By the way you get a little sneak peak of some of my Vehicles I'm building for Operation Alloy Strike
About this creation

My Top tray of Browns were all totally destroyed, Some on the second tray but i just consolidated them togeather.

What really sucks is some of my old minifigs, that I have had for years now can no longer be put in my mocs. Some of my minifig heads don't fit either. Just kinda sit there with no friction force to hold in on.

Well lesson learned, Desert Sun = Lego destruction.

As you can see I have random pieces showing up all warped and disfigured.

You are currently a member of the Metal Legion Recruiting Command. This notice is provided to help members remain in the group, and is not intended to be a form of pestering or harassment. MLRC is going to battle, again, and your participation by group members is crucial. The name of the battle (itís a group) is CONTACT BRAVO ONE. The battle will run from 1 AUG 2011 to 31 AUG 2011. If you have never posted on MLRC, and you have not posted in this battle by 31 AUG, then you will be dropped from MLRC. This would be a shame, because your building talent and creativity are the life blood of the MLRC. How do you post an entry in CONTACT BRAVO ONE? First, you need to post a Garrison, or a Militia squad on MLRC. Go to this link and follow the instructions: http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=16812&topicid=67443 Then join the group CONTACT BRAVO ONE at this link, and again follow the instructions: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/17909 You must complete both steps, and you must do them in the order listed. Right now, most of MLRC members are inactive, and this does nothing to help the members who are active. The purpose of the site is to help active group members to become better builders and better communicators. I am glad you joined the MLRC, but joining only got you to the door. Step in or step out. Either way, thank you for your attention in this matter. Build! Post! Review! Attack!

Quoting Jeff McElwee Welcome to the southwest man. Bummer-tastic.
Oh this nothing new to me, I was born in the desert and have only live away for about 3 years or so, I just didn't know that Legos could melt under a tied down tarp with only maybe an hour of sunlight and that was the morning too. Also to be mentioned I was traveling on the highway as well going about 75 ish. You would think the air flow itself would keep it cool but I guess not. I think what happened is, the container that held the Legos was hit by the sun at an angle almost acting like a magnifying glass of some sort. The funny thing is the container is plastic as well, and by the pics you can see it is in perfect condition aside from the scratches I put into it.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 we might be able to salvage your heads grip though, try washing them with dishes soap!...it is a degreaser! it could help you regain a little grip, i use this trick for used parts sometimes, when i get bargains on used kits! ...i hope it helps!
Thanx Frank for the support. Its weird though, I washed all my Legos at one point in my bath tub with bleach and all kinds of disinfectant. They were old and sitting in my parents garage full of dust and dirt. I dired them all off woth a blow dryer on a low heat setting. They got so HOT that I bent the plastic on some of them picking them up. I can see a blowdryer melting them, I really can. The sun though? Wow is all I had to say. You see the container in the pics right? That didn't melt but it was a lot thinner then most of my Legos that melted. I think the heat produced by the sun was trapt inside the container melting all of its continence. CRAZY huh? The reason why the heat didn't melt the container baffels me.

sh@$%^ dusty!!! i m so sorry for you! well, you sure taught us a very good lesson; don t over estimate lego s heat capacity! if it can be any consolation...i melted part of my lego solar panel last year!...and they don t sell them anymore...it still works, but, it does nt grip at certain places, the reason?...light bulb heat! so yes, lego is quite heat sensitive!!! ...so sorry dusty!

Quoting Christopher Biocca I'm really not sure how to rate this. Man that sucks. At least some of your Legos survived though. My condolences.
It does suck, I don't have that many brown pieces to begin with.
