A unit equipped with Kayaks to patrol the inlets and islands of Lake Erie. Most of their weapons are suppressed (equipped with silencers) as they are designed as a fast and silent assault unit.

Malcolm is most at home with a book, but is perfectly capable of using his favorite submachine gun to defend his squad and his state.

Background: Born on a farm in southern Ohio, Gramps—as he is affectionately called by his comrades—is an excellent soldier hidden behind the façade of a crotchety old man. Protective of the younger soldiers, Gramps is willing to go the extra mile to help them—provided there is prune juice back at the base to keep him regular enough to fight. Has been married five times.

The unit departs the docks for its dawn patrol.

Personality: Volatile
Favorite Phrase: “Hose ‘em!”
Background: A former college basketball star, turned militia soldier, Loretta has a dominating personality, is fiercely loyal, and incredibly brave. She is a fast sprinter and an accurate shot with her suppressed assault rifle. Loretta doesn’t tolerate stupidity, or otherwise generally vacuous people. Her skills from the court have transferred well into combat.

Name: Dirk Boone
Age: 28
Rank: Private
Personality: Berserker
Favorite Phrase: “GRRRAAAAAAAH!!!”
Background: Boone’s numerous anti-social and personality disorders finally became useful when he joined the militia. Not much is known of his background, though he sports some questionable tattoos and drinks like a fish, though he can handle his liquor. What is known is that Boone is a maniac with a heavy machine gun and exceptionally strong physically (though his mind is about to break, most-likely). His loyalty only extends as far as his wallet, but thankfully he is far from being bright enough to cause any problems for the unit in that regard. Works well as a barricade; invaluable in a bar fight.

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I'll try to get some snakes in next time so I don't end up as "the clams." :P I'm hoping to use them in ALLOY STRIKE, so I'm going to get started on that now. I had a lot of fun putting this unit together.

Militia Commander Card. Your metal floats! I was really hooked with your description of the squad leader who is "Firmly entrenched in the intelligentsia". I'm glad he isn't some 2nd rate, JV, or bush legue Intelligentsia poser! The boats are a great idea, and a great addition to the versatile capabilities of the growing Metal Militia network. What's up with no Water Moccasins in your MOC? Just a clam? For now, your mascot is that clam. Until you repost with a snake in there some place. Great Squad, great base, great narrative!
