Pharaoh's Palace in Tanis
About this creation
Hello everybody!
This is my personal reconstruction of Pharaoh Shishak's Palace in Tanis.
Tanis was founded in the late Twentieth Dynasty and became the northern capital of Egypt during the following Twenty-first Dynasty.
Shishak is best known for his campaign through Israel and Judah, as recorded in the Hebrew Bible (1 Kings 14:25; 2 Chronicles 12:1-12). In the fifth year of Rehoboam's reign (commonly dated between 926 and 917 BC), Shishak swept through the Kingdom of Judah with a powerful army.
According to the biblical story Shishak carried off many of the treasures of the temple and the royal palace in Jerusalem, including the shields of gold and the Ark of the Covenant.
Here you can see the Pharaoh's army guided by Shishak himself on his golden chariot returning home after the war campaign. Soldiers bring the Ark to Pharaoh who orders to hide it in the new Pyramid.
I hope you like it, thanks for your comments!

Aerial view of the Palace

Pharaoh's Army returning home

The first Pylone

In the background, the new Pyramid quite finished. The Pyramid is 96 studs each side

The Pharaoh's golden chariot is arriving in front of the second Pylone

The Horus Guard, the elite guards of Pharaoh, is waiting for the king with two Anubis priests

Shishak on his chariot

The Pharaoh is wearing the Khepresh, the blue Battle Crown

Twenty Sphynx welcome the Pharaoh

Two other Anubis priests are waiting for...

... the Sacred Osiris' Barge, accompained by two Anubis Guards. The silver statue of Osiris is wearing the ceremonial Atef Crown

Detail of the Sphynx headed barge

The two obelisks are 6 studs sided and 55 bricks high

Some views of Throne Room with its wall paintings

The basalt and gold throne

Shishak sitting on the throne, wearing the Pschent, the Double Crown, who combines the Red Deshret Crown of Lower Egypt and the White Hedjet Crown of Upper Egypt.

Pharaoh's guard is bringing the Ark of the Covenant, stolen in Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem

And Pharoh said : "Move the Ark into the Pyramid. So let it be written, so let it be done"

The Ark inside the Pyramid's secret chamber...

... just before workers close it forever... or not?

Thank you for your comments!
PS: the Palace is completely opening and playable, the grey bricks are moveable revealing interior chambers, but I have not still finished them.
