Modular Installation Demo
Military groups require fast response to a variety of threat environments. Forward area deployment is not always safe and base construction can take time away from bringing the pain to zombie hordes, smugglers, and criminal elements. The answer is modular pre-fabricated units based on the standardized large pallet materials handling system. The pallet modules can be dropped by transport craft or helicopters and a small base can be assembled in as little as 8 hours. This system is scalable and can be used to construct small to large bases for a variety of purposes.
About this creation

Find a good flat place and remember, strategic planning is in part about location, location location!

Mow the lawn!

Lay out the stabilizing metalized cloth.

Install modules -- in this case we have the troop quarters built on a two modular pallet design.

Add other modules. Note that the outside walls become part of the defense.

AIRGV maintenance and programming module. (Whose bright idea was it to use white for the grease monkeys work benchs? Sarge busts our chops if we don't keep it clean! Com'on next time at least use gray!)

Water storage and processing unit.

Spare pallets used for transporting the wall panels can be used for raised walking areas. Continue installation of wall panels or gates to complete the modular base.

For a close up look on individual modules in this demonstration, please see below:

Special thanks to my son Lucas for reviewing some of the ideas and the gates in particular.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 modular is the future! as much for civilians than for military! have you checked my ALTA-5 posts? 'panelising' is also a great answer! your demo is nice! i like the presentation a lot! do you have air or ground units that can transport? or cranes? if you do, it would be even cooler to use them, for an even more complete demo! we share many ideas and concepts you and me! i d love to hear your opinion on ALTA-5!!! super work!
Air unit is a WIP. It will hold two of the 12x12 pallets or one 12x24 such as the barracks is built on. Now that I am done with my Metal Legion comic, I hope to focus on finishing the cargo carrier. I have kept up with viewing the Alta-5 work and agree we have a lot of similar ideas. I look forward to seeing more from you.

Quoting Jess G. Wow! That is awesome! Where did you get all of those baseplate/transport pallet pieces? BL?
Yes, Bricklink is the bomb! I seldom buy full sets anymore.

Very neat design for the Prefab Foreward Base. You really thought this through. What you ought to do though, is design the pallets that they are shipped on to double as reinforced walls. It would cut down on materials needing to be shipped. I look foreward to seeing more Prefabs from you! ^Blub^

Very nice Commander. Modularity is a crucial component of strategic transport. Harder to build than most people suspect. I would like to see the modules finished but not connected. Build! Post! Review! Attack!

As requested, here is a demo of the modular system. I have to give credit to a certain "emperor L" for the initial inspiration.
