Meet the baddies...
About this creation
This is my first "bad guy" in my growing LEGO world. Everyone needs a nemesis, right?

For now the bad guys are comprised of an alien race that has landed on the planet and tricked the once powerful oil barons into siding with them. In my mind the aliens look like minotaurs, but I am not sure if LEGO makes a minotaur head (let me know if you know).

While they have advanced technology, they have limited resources. This mecha/walker is one of their missile-launching interceptors. It is called a Mantis walker by the good-guys because of the rocket pods that look like big eyes and and the duel antennae and tiny mouth-looking anti-personnel guns up front. (Google "praying mantis head" and you'll see what I mean.)

It's armed with 12 multi-purpose missiles and twin guns in the front. The back has a quad-pod grenade launcher.

Do you have Universe mode on LDD? If you google it, there are instructions on how to unlock it for your LDD. It will give you more parts in more colors.

Most of the LEGOs from my childhood are gone or back in the US, so I use LDD to build regularly. I am going back to the US this summer and will try to bring some of my sets back to HK so I can build with real LEGOs. I have a few of the original SW sets I can find at home.
