Clonetard City: Turn Fourteen
The thrilling* everywhichway murderfest continues.
About this creation

So: the VI infantry have a go at their host, ripping off the last of his left-torso armour and starting in on the internals, with a little puff of evaporating coolant signalling the death of a heat-sink. They also do enough damage to the center torso to ensure that the next large-lazor strike to hit there will punch through, and damage the cockpit, knocking the pilot unconscious in the process. Also: anything more powerful than a medium lazor will now have the capability of penetrating the head armour, which is, well, a bad thing(TM).

Next: Smith. "FZAM" go the lazors, and "BOOM" goes Bob's right torso. In other words: the armour and internal frame of a Ghost series light mecha's side torso is not sturdy enough to stand up to repeated large lazor hits. Needless to say, the disintegrating side torso takes the appropriate arm with it.

Finn took a potshot and ThunderTOD, and missed.

ThunderTOD had a go at the Specter, and it's a bit confusing so I'll explain later.

Gondabuggan also happened to knock off 50% of the Cheetah's side armour.

I was going to use that news helicopter for some different camera angles. I've decided it's not worth the effort.

Anyway: Bob decided a charge would be a great idea.

Crunch! Now, things got a bit out of order with this; so: ~33 tonnes of fast moving metal strike a stationary target at X kilometres per hour, and deliver damage roughly equal to a very very big-bore tank gun. The damage, in other words, is staggering. The first location struck was the center torso, which was badly damaged, along with the machine's gyro and sections of reactor shielding. The "head" is also damaged, but the pilot managed to retain consciousness. Other than that, the little stub arm on the right was denuded of armour.

The attacker took damage too: to the center torso, which also delivered another dose of engine damage to even things out. Also, it ripped off the last of the armour there. A few hits there would take the Wraith out of the fight. Similar for the Specter, too; very little of its central frame is still intact; enough to hold it together, but not enough to survive much more damage.

As well: ThunderTOD's cannon shot ended up being calculated AFTER the charge, because of a minor mix-up. Anyway: I was kind of including it in the "central frame critically damaged" bit; he scored a critical hit, by the way. Ruined the Specter's lazor gun.

The shock of the impact was too much for the two pilots to handle; the Wraith fell on its right side, somehow managing to take the impact on its LEFT torso. Don't ask.

The Specter, on the other hand, tries to stay up, staggers back, but overbalances and falls on its front.

It landed on its left "arm", evening out the damage.

So: the Wraith's damage has been exacerbated, and it lost ~40% of its firepower. On the other hand, the ammo in the destroyed side torso didn't go off, just pouring on the ground instead. Some lucky hunter is going to have enough ammo for the rest of his life, once he comes across that. Deus is worse off than before, and is now unconscious. The Specter is almost, but not totally, removed from play.

Oh my, what a blatant overlook on my part not inviting you in the 4x4x4 minivig contest, since you were among those who inspired the theme in the first place! There's still time though, the contest runs until may 24th, and if you get the chance, I know you'll do well in it. http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/16593 (I also sent you an invite. Again, sorry, it slipped my mind when I started it, and then I just assumed you were in)

Quoting Marauder Man Alright, I'm up, lets crawl over to my sword, that will probably help.
It's been shot off. It's like the tank turret in that it's nothing but eye candy.

Quoting Bob the almighty This is another amazing addition to the series! I was thinking "Yay!" when I saw the helicopter because I thought the Marauders had an extra unit, then I found out it was a helicopter. Man, I really want someone on the Varion side to shoot it down. *wink* *wink*
Well, it'll disappear next turn. If you're looking for something nonaligned to shoot at, though, there might be something coming. ...Ever heard of a Castle Brian?
