After seeing Brian Kescenovitz's Dawn Forge theme, I thought I'de try a whack at it! (After all my most popular creation is a mech...) So After a weeks work, I give you the Grimlin-Class Combat Mech!
About this creation
The Grimlin-Class is a very well suited mech for carrying out search and destroy missions, while it's strong and sturdy legs make it perfect for defence too.
The feet are well equipped and can take the Grimlin-Class, where some other mechs can't go.
The upper leg has a thick Polymere-steel alloy, to protect it from even the toughest of attacks.
The "belly' of the Grimlin-Class, has a huge air intake, to cool down the engines, and keep the mech from getting over heated. You can also see the gatling gun too.
The back is kind of bear. But it does have some more hoses.
The "head" of the Grimlin-Class, features most of it's weapons systems. It also has some flood-lights.
Here you can see 3 of the highly explosive missles and 8 of the deadly shrapnel mortars. The pilot is also inside.
Here is the main weapon that the Grimlin-Class, depends on. The rail gun. The rail gun is a highly advanced weapon that charges the projectile with a current, and make it go zipping out of the gun at about 5,400 MPH. So you might want to watch out :P
BEYOND THE BRICK:
I think the Dawn Forge theme is a really nice one. I had alot of fun (and not so fun times XD) making this mech, and I really like how it came out. I think I might even continue this theme for a while!
I love how the legs turned out ,and especially how the feet look. It almost looks like the machine is standing on tippy-toes. Also, who doesn't like rail guns? One technical note: In my experience, this type of vehicle is usually called a walker, while the term "mech" is reserved for vehicles with two arms and two human-like legs. Still a great job on this, though!
This is awesome ! Hey , I have a question: How flexible are the legs ? Do you use ball joint pieces , or some other connection ? Please get back to me , I am in desperate need for mech tips and techniques!
This is a great mech. I do have to give you this warning. There is an unspoken rule of mech building that you NEVER EVER put a weapon between the legs for . . . obvious reasons. That aside, I like the cockpit design, much more visibility than most mechs I see. The weapons loadout looks very combat capable.
Amazing Mech! The Grimlin-Class Combat mech is amazing! The legs look VERY sturdy! I would NOT want to get in that bad boy's way! With that machine's weapons, you better watch out. Let's make it 150 likes! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
Hey dude! I was just browsing through my list of past comments that were made on my creations and realised that i never replied yours. Well i just LOVE your stuff man! This mech is seriously on of the best ive seen, awesome design, especially the cocpit. But seriously? A gun in between the legs? LMFAO xD

This thing is just as awesome as last time and a lot better than the MOTDs that we usually get these days.
Wow, who knew losing felt so great for you!! I know how you feel. I also got rejected. No worries, we'll BOTH come back next year!!! Is this your birthday now??? :D Happy early birthday, Man!!! ~David. P.S. This is my longest MOTD comment!!
I saw you on the homepage, and from a quick peak, it seems this may just be your best so far. Keep up with work like this; I look forward to seeing your creations expand in theme, technique, and most importantly, creativity!
hey as you can see people like your moc stop posting on people's moc and asking for comments you are a good builder and people will see that so relax and stop spamming people.
this is very interesting moc if feels like the robot from robo cop but more mobile i like the head and the legs a lot i don't like the Gatling gun seems to be in an awkward position moving it may make it more realistic.

Wow... You did an amazing job with this! I love how sleek and smooth it looks. Superb job!
it s hard to beleive you did this after boba mech! the time between them is what? a month? they seem light years apart!!! even the 'i like it' s show that! it goes to show you, how can someone advance real fast by studying advanced builders! great work mr lego!
Cool! But I have to know, how did you make that minigun? I mean it looks like you but the pole pieces in the slots of a gear but I've tried that in all my gears and none work, and I'm pretty sure I'm missing something. Could you please explain it?

Thats awesome! I really like all the weapons on it.
Really cool! I have never in my life been able to build a mech, so this is very impressive. My only complaint is that most Dawn Forge mechs have wider bodies/heads, while yours looks sort of thinner compared to the pack. Otherwise, great job!
Very good detail, and size. Did you make it on LDD because the pieces look very clean. I dont see anything wrong with LDD, of course you could have just bought all those peices recently. Good job on the mech, with the canopy, legs, and weapons. 5/5
Awesome mech!! This definitely has Dawn Forge written all over it. The overall armored look is perfect, and i really like the shape of the head of the mech (if you couldn't tell, I like the elongated look...). It's really nice to see other builders tackle this amazing theme. Great job!!
nice job im kinda down in the dumps because noone sees my creations and comments and also my two groups I made are really UNPOPULAR do you have any sugestions? (i probably would have asked you at school but I won't see you because of the MSP)
