Finally, I can post the instructions for something in just one page! Why? Because the barrel and slide only required a couple of very small changes, while the frame has seen the addition of a new trigger and grip safety. So enjoy, and as always, let me know if the instructions don't meet your needs for world domination. :)
About this creation
Just remember, the profile bricks on the slide are NOT a necessary addition!
Remember that 1 x 3 brick from the barrel on the first version?
You'll have to remove it...
And replace it with this.
The gap left by this piece is there to make room for the new trigger. And there you have the completed barrel!
You'll have to build two of these next sections.
The completed grip safety!
Now, just top it off with an orthodontic rubber band, and it's ready to be added to the frame.
The rubber band runs through the recessed edge of the 1 x 1 stud plate. It's a bit tricky to get it into place. Have you noticed it's also tricky to take photos of?
Note the second orthodontic rubber band in the layout.
The completed trigger! You should probably put the rubber band into place BEFORE you lower the trigger into the frame, but for now, I'll leave it disconnected. I can't hold the trigger in place and take photos at the same time, you know. I'll show you how to connect the rubber band in just a second.
You'll have to lower the trigger into place slightly BEHIND where it snaps in....
NOW you can see how the rubber band fits in. The 1 x 1 clip keeps it from getting stuck between the trigger and the side of the frame, and the extra tension makes the trigger pull a little bit heavier. Just top it all off with a 1 x 4 tile...
And you have the completed frame!
THE COMPLETED COLT .25 AUTO V.2!!!!
I doubt if I need to repeat myself, but please don't go waving any LEGO guns around in public! Unless, of course, you'd like to find out how long it takes for the SWAT team to show up. (2 minutes! Uh, I mean...) And as always, please remember where you got these designs if you use them! Enjoy, and thanks for looking!
