This is "Heat Stroke's" choice vehicle, Dune Grinder. Dune Grinder is a hover craft that usually hovers just above the ground but can become air bound, it just uses more fuel. It has a large engine to go high speeds over the sands of the Desert Sea. Dune Grinder uses two dual laser shotguns for a weapon system. It also has multiple attachments for weapons, utensils, and other items.
"Heat Stroke" is the Desert member for the terrorist team Doom. For more information, click here.
Sorry for any odd colored pictures. My digital camera was doing all this insane color changing stuff because I am not able to use white backgrounds and all I have easily available is my wood desk. So some of the pictures may look a little yellow.
This is a little build that I made just the sake of building something. It uses SNOT techniques, angled pieces, and pieces used for which they were not originally intended. I am most proud of the air intakes, and the fans on the underside.
With clear bricks for action posing.
Close-up of a main engine air intake.
Front grill with the two guns.
I tried really hard to fix these last two pictures as best I could, but it never worked so great.
The underside. I used wheels for fans, probably my favorite concept in little ships like this.
Final shot of "Heat Stroke" and Dune Grinder.
For W. Mark: When posting scores, just put Dune Grinder.
Your score is 17. 4 for build quality, 3 for originality, 1 for theme adherence, 5 for purism, 4 for presentation. The build and presentation are both good, but not great... a little bit of practice in both areas should give you a huge payoff in terms of quality. I recommend using a white posterboard background for future pictures. Unfortunately, theme adherence really hurts your score here... I've seen plenty of purist spaceships before.
